    Why does Buganda want Federalism yet it's what landed Uganda in political doldrums in 1962 and 1966? If Uganda is to follow Federalism, then each region should be semi-autonomous. However, there are serious problems with Federalism even in Western countries but that's a discussion for another platform.

    Obote had the same thinking, jst accept the reality that thru federal system leadership can tackle its problems jst like kenya bt anyway ur time will pass too.
    Uganda is here to stay if we get a president who isn't a hypocrite and no personal agent some services will b handled by local governments.
    It's the system colonialisits left and they are backing people like museveni bt Amin touched their intrests and they sanctioned him there and then

      Atugonza,do u know how long buganda has been hospitable to other tribes since decades ago? Go to namutamba and find bayanrwanda hidden away by banana during the obote times,go to bombo and find banubi community leaving happily.
      One person fermenting tribalism is this man who has not too long to leave but wants to create problems for his people.

    Your Excellency, you are so right to refuse federalism. Federalism will promote tribalism, regionalism, eventual attacks on people basing on tribal lines. Let's deny federalism to stay together in our one Uganda.

      @@divinemeditation7980 When you use United States of America as an example you are well thought in our geopolitics, history and background. Uganda is a very small country with a lot tribalistic sentiments here and there. Look at the history of Ugandan politics down to Kabaka Yekka, UPC and DP. United States is comprised of multiple States, Uganda is a single state with people divided along tribal lines. All we need to fight is us believing in us Nationals as Ugandans, not this land belongs to Buganda ..., This belongs to this tribe... And bickering comes in and eventually war will emerge. Let's follow the Constitution not other hidden interest...

Kampala, the head quarter of Buganda is the capital city of Uganda. If you one day (by mistake) attain your so call federalism, what will you do to the non-Baganda who already contributed in the development of your area? Is there away, life is very uncomfortable in the current system? Think twice, think deep. Northern Uganda has always been Uganda. You won't convince me to begin thinking we can also exists without the other parts of the country. Co - existence without hostilities and retribution is everyone's right.

      There was no federal government. The British made a mistake of appointing kabaka president. Buyoro or ankole, Toro and those others that formed the kitara kingdom, Buganda on made a small part of it of the sese island. It can not from that level then heading the region.mt was not going to work and it will never work.
