How to Play Nintendo Games on your Xbox Series X & S... FOR FREE! (no dev mode)

- So a couple weeks ago I found out that you can play retro Nintendo games on your Xbox Series X and S... and it works really well! I haven't done the full gamut of testing, so you very well may find something that I missed, but in this video I share what I've found and what seems to work well and what doesn't work well. And the best part is that it is free (you don't have to go into dev mode)! You just have to open up the Edge browser.
Remember, you shouldn't be emulating these games unless you actually own the games. All games that I've shown being emulated in this video are games that I physically own. This method just makes it easy to do on your Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
BTW, the emulation I'm showing in this video was working before Microsoft's Edge update that recently released.

To use controller buttons on full screen move the cursor to the bottom left of the screen.thats your left and not the tvs and press the start button and click use game controls

When it loads game core im just getting network error in red letters, under Game core ready. Wont do nothing?
How do you stop it kicking you out of the game when you press certain buttons?
My issue is that every time I switch to my controller the game pauses and it won’t let me start it. Once I switch back to the browser and unpause, the game starts back up. Frustrating

They actually just updated the browser app on Xbox so its better now!
I read that they'd updated recently. Unfortunately I filmed this video a couple weeks ago and haven't tested it since the browser update, so I'm not sure how it affects what I did in the video. Sounds like it should just improve like you said, and maybe some other sites will work now as well

Having difficulty remapping the Xbox pad, the standard settings are wrong... When I try to remap say the SNES, I always end up going 'back'
Yeah unfortunately I haven't had much luck getting the remapping function to work very well. It seems to work for some buttons but not others. I gave up on it

Have a slight problem and wondering if recent updates are the issue. I tried out Mario 64 and it all loaded up fine but going to fullscreen mode the controls went into browser mode and upon selecting "game controls" it reverts to windowed mode within browser.
The interface seems to have changed and pressing start in fullscreen doesn't seem to apply any functions.
My nephew really likes his Mario and well... X box is all he's getting this christmas and he's one of four so outvoted on the console selection front.
Any helpful advice on how to play fullscreen after recent changes?

Press start and go to "use game controls" some sites are weird with full screen, and the left stick can scroll the page sometimes so use the D pad when you can

Ok I finally figured out the control but you need a mouse to do so.
Step:1 pick a game and load it
Step:2 use your mouse and your controller to edit your buttons.
Step:3 hold the start button on your controller then hit use control/controller shape icon.
Step 4: Then use your mouse to click on full screen

I got how to get the controller to work perfectly fine but game crashes every time 30 seconds into the race or Mario kart n64 not worth the time I would check back on this in a year as it’s totally bs if someone says it works perfectly fine as I tried like 18 times

How do you go full screen with game controls
I got it to work once by using a 2nd controller and selecting the full screen button, but tried that later and it didn't work... So not sure. Maybe a mouse? Haven't tried that though.
