First up big thank you to all the subscribers and discord family who suggested a video review comparing the Uhlsport goalkeeping SUPERgrip and ABSOLUTgrip latex and a special thank you to the team at Uhlsport who sent all these gloves over for their full reviews and this video comparison!

Great video! And more importantly, an honest opinion, even after saying he got the gloves from Uhlsport, he recommends the more affordable model because the grip lasts longer. This is important because my teenage son will likely not be washing and looking after his gloves as much as is necessary to warrant buying the more expensive model.

I have the orange super grips and at first they were the perfect gloves...however a few months on they are already showing signs of peeling and now they aren’t as grippy.thanks for this vid because now I will try out the absolutegrip!
I just bought the absolute grip version (orange) and I love them. I feel like the ball sucks into my hands when making saves. I’m glad I didn’t spend extra money on the supergrip ⚽️🥅

Hey Alberto, love your videos! Im a goalkeeper but since im also a father of 2, I dont have the time to activly play with my team but Ill help out and train whenever I can. Im now after gloves for the season and looking at uhlsport absolute grip finger surround and also at umbro neo pro elite shotgun, considering durability and performance which one would you advocata for? Im very used to absolute and supergrip, have been using super since it came out and absolute years before that. Nwver tried umbro tho with their elite foam. Would love to hear your thoughts!

at the start I thought the absolute grip was better. I was getting a pair of absolute grip so I am happy with the results.

The supergrip is amazing when new, if you can take care of them they can last you a good bit
Well yeah, your supergrips are completely dirty... you gotta wash your gloves at least once a week. This improves durability and grip a lot.
Still - could be possible that the AG's are better, never used them. Should maybe give them a go!
yea! but they both had been used a bit especially the radar control version but the aero reds were still brand new and had the same issue! but just like you said the gloves definitely need to be washed at least once every two weeks if not every week

I have the Aerored Absolute grip reflex and they were amazing but the finger tips started to tear very quickly
That makes sense the tighter fit around the finger means more tension and more tears! Great gloves tho

does anyone have a glove recommendation? My last glove was the Uhlsport Supergrip HN. The grip was insane the first few uses, but quickly after its lost almost all its grip. I washed them once a week and still cant one hand hold the ball. however the cut and the durability surprised me. the cut is very nice and loved the tightness. and the durability was not terrible but it did lose its grip fast and drastically. whats a great glove you guys recommend? Are the reusch pure control any good?
try the reusch fit control pro g3 speed bump, Ive had them for about a month and a half now and love them.
ARS did a review on them a while back, I love Reusch gloves they fit my wide wrists better i had the fit control evolutions similar to the supergrips and they didnt last much longer than a month for me

alberto, how can i get cheap goalkeeper gloves, don’t play for a team but usually play in goals for leisure, any suggestions, looking for gloves at around $20-$30
Ryan Kane you will not find good gloves for 20-30$ there is rehab gloves for 50€ on keepersport or look at the 1YNX gloves sooo good for 50£
So I had the supergrip, used only for matches but haven't used them once last season due injury. The season before I got injured I used them during my matches on saturday. I was planning on using them now during training twice a week, or do you recommend buying new gloves for my training?
If the latex hasn't dried out I would use them for training, hey even if it does you can still catch the ball with them and if anything it will help you get the technique right if you want to make those holds! Sometimes I like to train with no gloves or poor grip gloves to focus on catching technique you might enjoy it as well

Used both. Absolutgrip is far more reliable. I wouldn't wear Supergrip if they paid me, and there is a reason most of the Uhlsport top pros wear AG over SG.

@@ARSGoalkeeping The Tensiongreen Absolutgrip gloves I had last year are one of the best gloves I have ever used and that is saying something given the amount of gloves I have used down the years. 😁
I liken the Absolutgrip to being very similar to the Reusch G3. I found the same issues I have with the Supergrip on the Reusch G3 Fusion, I really don't rate those latexes with the silly little abrasion / aqua bits injected.
agreed so much on the little abrasion bits mixed in with the latex. Have personally noticed the best latex is all one solid piece none of that jazz mixed it as it just promotes early tearing more than anything
@@ARSGoalkeeping agreed on the tearing with those styles. Never had Supergrip but I've used Reusch G3 Fusion, and chunks were coming off on the first use despite the black bits for "durability". I have, however, used Absolutgrip... loved it! More than enough grip for any keeper so long as you look after it.
I always go for Uhlsport lasts me a whole season use glove wash bought my 1st pair of supergrips this season how it goes.

The grip is there! Just need to make sure to take care of them and wash them at least once every two weeks

For a full season and training yes, if it were just for games i would go with the supergrip as its grip out of the bag is one of the best in the market

You compare a dirty supergrip glove with a what looks like a new absolutgrip glove? can u even compare them?
I used two different ranges, two super grips 2 absolutgrips both used 3 weeks plus you can see them all being used in the video and comparisons

Yea thats my point, supergrip latex dries out a whole lot faster than other latex types.

Those gloves are filthy.. looks like only lost grip cause you didn't take care of them.. I wash mine before every game and they last an entire season perfectly fine.
