Hi OracelGenesyis, In your video it is mentioned that LUN allocated to storage is not recommended but the oracle adviced to go for the LUN approach as per the below. Kindly correct me if I am wrong,, Logical unit numbers (LUNs)-Using hardware RAID functionality to create LUNs is a recommended approach. Storage hardware RAID 0+1 or RAID5, and other RAID configurations, can be provided to ASM as ASM disks. docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b31107/asmprepare.htm
+Seyed Fayasdeen Right! The scenario over here is, If you allocate LUNs from storage server then you have two Volume Manager - One is ASM and another would be your Storage software. Its also clearly mentioned that "As of now there is no better way than to allocate LUNs" but in futures we might have other ways where we dont have multiple Volume manager.
Sorry to say this, but its very irritating to see more doubt clearing than actual tutorial happening in the video. No doubt about the knowledge you shared but if a student is constantly speaking alongside, it's very disturbing.

I thought a disk could belong to multiple disk groups. Is there an Oracle document showing this?
