Your recent Jody watley cover video would not allow comments, so I'm leaving my comment here. Good job on that! I know I have said this before, but I am not exaggerating in the least. Your musical tastes are so close to mine it is almost uncanny. I could probably mention that song to any Jodi fan and they wouldn't even remember it. Yet it is probably my favorite by her. I have carried that one in my heart for years. As I recall, the writers of that song used to write similar material that always brought that sentimental feeling. I think there was one on Cindy Mizelle's album.
But why does the ending of this video cut early and straight to commercials because when I saw another copy of this video it normally finish 1 minute later! It’s so annoying!!
1991 was my big introduction to BET... I seem to remember having audio only for it, while the screen showed local news information and then around late June early July we finally got the long-awaited-for BET.... One of my earliest memories of it was Will Downing's "I go crazy". So it's interesting you posted this. Just wondering..... Was this the early part of 1991? I thought I remembered everything else, LOL
@@retrorhythms LOL, I guess I wasn't as glued as I thought! My big remembrances (although they may have been repeat shows) for summer 1991 were B Angie B, Tracie Spencer, Patti Labelle's "Feels like another one" (forgotten), Luther's "Don't want to be a fool". Oh and how could I forget two huge ones: "Can't wait another minute" by HiFive and "With you" by Tony Terry. Thanks again, by the way, for another classic upload! Keeping the old school doors open all the time!

Justin - How do you find all these old videos? Did you have them saved on old VHS tapes?
I watched religiously growing up! And thankfully, my mom instilled in me from early on the value of archiving and preservation!

This one actually came out in the late summer or fall of that year, though I can't remember the exact month!
