Innovative JK Products Rear Seat Recline Kit Install (07-18 4-Door JKU)

Install of the Innovative JK Products rear seat recline kit. I bought this kit on Amazon for $59.95 (link below). This kit is made of a strong industrial polymer, DELRIN, placed under the rear seat leg brackets to add about 2-2.5" of recline. Had I not watched a video of this I would not have really understood what to do. The KIT had no instructions with it. I did have to pull the seat foreward as the 3 small spacer holes do not line up due to the new angle. Once I did that it went smoothly. I think the torque spec is 45 ft pds but i just used my 24 inch breaker bar to add some tightness. Took about 1.5 hours to install. Now Im just waiting for the rest of my stuff to show up. Thanks for the vid. Very straight forward easy install.. just took time to take the bolts off. 🔩. Other than that easy.

Just got my kit but it did not come with directions. I was just going to “wing it,” but my wife had my ear with safety, kids in back, and other adulting stuff.

Hello Mac. Thanks for your video. I bought the same kit as yours, but when I place the rear shim, the screw holes are off-center. Impossible to screw again because the back fixing of the backrest, even loose, prevents the alignment of the holes. Did you have this problem ?
What's the trick?
