Glad you chose the Vevo version. Many people prefer the Nidarosdommen version, but for some reason I've always preferred this one!

I don't actively listen to her, but I've heard a number of her songs, and this is definitely one of my favourites! I actually discovered this song through a game I've been playing where they have seasonal content, and there was an entire season related to Aurora (she's also done music for the base game). This song plays in a virtual concert she did within the game right near the end and it just rips your heart out! 😭💖

Seen her do in boxes...but I guess she was limited to what she could do....early, early part of her career.
I'm waiting/ hoping/ praying she throws in some " oddities " and drops say...running with the wolves, or I dare say Runaway, Queendom,......
But please go a big 1- 2 punch and do Starvation into the Blade.......I need to hear her anger live.....I FEEL RAAAAAGE!!!!
She should do a really heavy/ hard/ metal Album for her ....many fans who listen to Metal, but are AURORA fans .

Not a fan of her more traditional pop music....but that's just a small part of her catalog. Most diverse Artist out now. With her it's actually like......
What kind of song is she going to do.. what style of music. She really can not be put into box, defined, typecast, etc.
Lovely performance, and she has a ton of them by now 😊. She started writing as therapy, and wrote this when she could only see darkness in the world. Love this version, but the Nidarosdomen one might be more emotional, which is very Much Aurora. Emotional and heartfelt performances. Her backup singers here (her band) are not with her anymore, although Magnus (drummer and producer) did some things on her new album, and still seems to step in if needed. A lot of talented people in her orbit.

I absolutely prefer this version to the album track or the version from the Nidarosdomen concert. It is so pure in this performance, instrumentation is unnecessary to deliver the impression of it straight on to your soul. For me, the addition of the orchestra or further studio production only seems to detract and distract from the effect of the piece on me. It offers a personal feeling that the other performances seem to lack. I enjoy those versions, but it's not the same.
Anyway, glad this one was the one that was offered, and I appreciated your reaction to it. Enjoy your day.
