  • Hello and welcome to another video by Adrian Davey from Pure electric.
    In this video, I talk you through transposing basic electrical formula that will be required in your 1st year science and principles exam.
    I start of with a basic formula for levers, as this is easy to move around, and then move on to the formula for transformers.
    As with anything in life, you only get out, what you put in, so I want you to practice this at least 2-3 times a week on top of your college day.
    The formula that I use in this video should be copied onto your formula sheet and I want you to practice writing this out, until you can do it from memory.
    When you come to the exam, I want you to ask for a piece of paper and to start writing out that formula sheet that you've been practising, so that you can clear your head and focus on the exam itself.
    There is a direct correlation between people who write out a pages of formula and notes and achieve distinctions, compared to those who only draw out an Ohm's law triangle and scrape a pass.
    Good luck!
    As always, please like, share and subscribe to get these important messages out there.
    Take care
    Adrian

    This is the only video that has made any sense to me on transposition. So glad I found this 👍

    Thanks Adrian great video! At the end on the advice you gave around learning the formula? Do you just means the rules of transposing? What’s the difference between Transposition and Formula? Sorry if it’s a silly question!

    • @Pure_electrical_training
      @Pure_electrical_training  Před rokem +1

      The formulas are needed for the exams and you need to understand transposition to rearrange the formula to answer exam questions

    Great explanation Adrian, is there going to be a part 2? With square root and squared numbers in the equation.
    Thanks for sharing👍👍

    In the second example, to get Ns, why not multiply both sides by Np first?

    • @Pure_electrical_training
      @Pure_electrical_training  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Because Np is on top of Ns, so this is a fraction.
      You have to open up the fraction first to move what is inside it

      @Pure_electrical_training OK. Thanks. So that applies to anything that's a denominator?
      Is an alternative method to just multiply by Np and as its a denominator you flip the other side?
