Resistors in series part 1 of 3 - Why we need to know resistors in series and how we use it on-site

Hello and welcome to this video on resistors in series within electrical circuits by Adian Davey from Pure Electrical Training.
This video is designed to help you with your electrical training to complete the 1st year science exam, and the aim of part one in this video series is to explain why you need to understand this content in your career as an electrician. It ties into how circuits work, and how you can prove that using your MFT to test those circuits and verify compliance with BS 7671.
As we move onto the second video, I will go through a couple of examples of series circuits to aid you in the exams.
I hope this video helps and am looking forward to moving on to resistors in parallel, as they always confuse people.

Of course, it’s coming up after the last part of resistors in series, but I don’t know how long that will be as each video takes me weeks to make

Hi Adrian,
Great video as always.
I’ve just sat my 202 electrical science exam and it had air of questions on star and delta connections in 3 phase systems and working out phase and line current ect.
I’ve not actually covered any of this is my training, my training provider when questioned about it said I had actually taken the wrong exam and it should have been the 602 I should have sat.
My question is would those questions be in the level 2 electrical science exam?

@@liammoore5192 if you look at the level 2 handbook I shared with you, it would appear that the 202 exam is correct for level 2
