  • The News at Ten from ITN with Trevor McDonald on Friday 25 April, six days before the general election. Contingency plans have been put in place to ensure the election goes ahead despite possible terrorist threats; Paul Davies reports.
In the election campaign the Conservatives' pension plans are again under scrutiny (an interesting shot shows Daniel Finkelstein briefing journalists), in a piece from Jackie Ashley. Hugh Pym has been following the main party leaders, including more chicken action. Jo Andrews has an update on the polls, and John Prescott has fallen over in Ayrshire.
In the later section of the programme, Michael Brunson interviews John Major.
