For anyone wanting to save time:
    1. Not understanding student loans
    2. Not budgeting
    3. Buying unnecessary things
    4. Not having a retirement fund
    5. Not investing
    6. Not paying off your credit card straight away
    7. Avoiding/not asking for help

I think of it as they were still learning too. They had 401k, investments, risk not much as we have nowadays. Most of them didnt know what they were doing, its the same as us. But its nice to have some people educate us all on these.
Also in our world, mindset is different with age... i was in the same boat as jenn i was 25 when i started saving. I wish started sooner but my mindset was not with money but instead traveling and having fun etc. But its never to late no matter the age... at least you start.

Compound interest over time is HUGE. Investing $300/month starting at age 25 can become $450,000 by age 65. Investing $600/month starting at age 40 will become only $350,000 by age 65 ($100,000 less!!!). Even though the older person saves twice as much, they can never make up for all that compounding interest!

Don’t spend more than what you earn on your credit card to ensure you don’t go into debt. To build credit, put everything on your card and pay it off on time every time (you can usually set up an automatic payment from your account so you don’t have to worry about it) that way it shows the bank you’re responsible with you money which will build your credit score

I agree with all of these, especially No. 4 (starting a retirement fund account). I started my retirement fund account at 17 years old because once you're retired, you're not earning any active income and you have to rely on retirement funds and savings, and if you have passive income (investments - trust funds, stocks, forex, etc), then you will be in a much better position. Also, you do not need a lot of money to invest, as long as you have a bit of money, INVEST IT.
