If you've EVER played the Game, you've heard this before. This is the Music playing during the Login, Character Selection and Character Creation Screen.
Vanilla WoW was the best time of my MMO life. Period. Nothing will ever come to level or even close. Simply because you can only discover a new world once in your lifetime.
Even today I have chills listening to this song. I remember sometimes standing still just admiring the scenery ... Friendships made in play that last until today ... Good times.
@@Levitiy Zuldazar music is awesome! Barring that I might not have played BfA to the finish. BUT, I am very much looking forward to the future. 15 years in, this game still is ... yanking my interest.
+Paulo Costa Gaming late April or May 2005 for me....after 2-3 months of waiting that new copies of the game would arrive to the stores. I remember going regularly to every possible shop selling videogames to try and find one copy of the game, but Blizzard didnt release any new shipments after the release until they were sure the servers could handle the huge number of players. Anyways I do have nostalgic feelings whenever listening to this theme, but although I have great memories from 2005-2007 vanilla WoW, I seriously dont miss vanilla WoW itself....people complain how Blizzard ruined the game, but back when I checked in 2011 post Cataclysm WoW was MUCH better than what vanilla WoW was.....its just those great first memories from the game that I miss.....its something that you wont ever experience again, even if you would return back to the game after all these years.
+Balnazzardi I'll agree to that. Even though I played very little of Vanilla, I still remember fondly those first few steps into a world I only knew from the RTS games before. And yes, I'm a firm believer that the game has never been better, it's a much more complex, complete and better game now by far than it was back then, and those who say otherwise, need to remove themselves from the nostalgia and think about it objectively.
***** Sure, the Garrisons were way too important and turned much of the end game into a Facebook game. However, everything else is still pretty damn great. Want a challenge? You have have Mythic raids and dungeons.
You didn't address any points other than the garrisons, which you agree with. A normal player will do Raid Finder and then not be willing to go farther because it is literally the same thing at a higher difficulty, what's the point? You've already seen it. The mystery and challenge of the base content is what made everyone keep playing to get in to it. If you are not willing to put in the effort to get in, you don't deserve to get in. Everything is handed to you now, you don't have to speak to anyone ever, there is no adventure at all while levelling, it's the same linear and simple shit for everyone. There is no adventure, no difficulty, no reason to play. Obviously a majority of players agree with me because the subs have been dropping continuously since they moved away from social, difficult content and to linear, easy, antisocial content.
Started playing WoW when TBC was near end and sunwell was added. Doesn't stop me from finding this Music Awesome. rocking this in my Garrison currently. really makes invasions a lot more awesome.

Oh man, just a sudden burst of nostalgia, I remember hearing this as I watched my brothers playing wow... probably 12 years ago now, I remember watching them level to the very top, I remember watching them raid.. and I just sat and wondered when I could grow up and play that awesome game.. I never did get to fully play the game, I managed to borrow my brothers account once or twice but in the end it became too expensive and they just slowly faded away from the game, I watched my brothers grow up and move away from this game, and I remember every moment. Admitted, I have not played WoW for 2,5 years now, but DAMN!!! This is an EPIC soundtrack. I can't WAIT for the Warcraft movie! I am a HUGE fan of the warcraft lore, I have almost every wow novel and comic book and I am so freaking hyped to see what lore they make into a movie.
Whats with the lore since CATA it keeps changing to add new / old stuff into the game...IN Cata they rewrote so much lore...thats not LORE really changing your story to make more money. that was.. uhm.. a complicated and hard to understand question. But uhm.. yeah, they kinda dropped the bomb with CATA by milking the hell out of what was so obviously meant to be wrapped up and put aside for good. As for MoP..uhm.. its hella stupid taking an old easter egg and suddenly making a whole expansion pack out of it. As for SW, well, I only cared for the original Trilogy, the rest never really did anything for me with the exception of some great gaming memories such as Lego Star Wars, SW BF II etc
World of Warcraft Classic was officially announced! FOR THE ALLIANCE! FOR THE HORDE! ELUNE BE PRAISED! MAY THE WINDS BE AT YOUR BACK! DARKLADY WATCHES OVER YOU! WALK WITH THE EARTHMOTHER! FOR KHAZ-MODAN! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
In Sept 11 2010 i walked down the aisle to this magical and masterful work of art of a song. I played WoW from Release and this song not only brings back the memories of my wedding but also brings back the pure Awesome that WoW was back. It really saddens me to see what this game has become over the years IMO it dead with Wotlk. Though this song and sound track will always be my favorite and always hold a dear dear place in my heart. RIP WoW Nov 23 - 2004 - Jan 16 2007
I miss WoW... Yet sadly, I've come to terms with the fact that I'll probably never play this game again and have fun like I use to. FeelsBadMan WithaGun RIP my love
we are the relics of the past, the veterans that played during vanilla time. We felt like we could play wow forever back then, without ever needing to piss or eat, or go outside or take a shower. We still try to play wow from time to time but we quickly get bored and realize wow has changed for the worst or simply we just grew up and cant enjoy it anymore. Whatever the case, we still get that nostalgic feelings from time to time and rember the good old days of wow.... but we realize we will never experience them
Just wiki Elysium. I'm playing through Vanilla WoW right now, bro. The starter zones are absolutely chock-full of people, it's amazing. Sometimes I can't even get quests done because there's so much competition for the collectibles and slayer quests.
People that played from 2004-2006 are the true legends ;D. I edit this thread. For as of yesterday 2017-11-03. Everyone will be able to become legends.
Although I like the other wow themes. This one is by far the best one it simply gives me nostalgic chills of logging into vanilla for the first time. -Evasionx
I miss the old days, god damn I enjoyed those times.. I don't have anything against the current wow expansion either. It is just.. fuck this shit was epic.
Fantasy eh? Should try something with graphics ..crisp sharp details ..Mind you I played wow since the beats and for 7.5 years and have 4 accounts but it always lacked LOOKS. Those who say it LOOKS good dont try anything else . As for Fantasy......just what dreams were filled because even that evades me and I have had all of my fantasies fulfilled in real life...which are FAR better then fake ones...So enlighten me on these fill by wow.
I admit, I shed a tear. This time will never be repeated, never reproduced. It was a time when a new world was there for us to experience. We did. Many did not. The world will NEVER experience it again. It was special. It was unique. It was WoW.
I remember 20 years ago, when I heard this music for the first time and for the first time I also made my character and entered the game. What beautiful times. Today, at 67 years old, I am still in this great game. Thank you Blizzard for the Classic that reminds us of precisely those times of glory. For the Alliance!!!!...For the Horde!!!!! For Azeroth!!! For World of Warcraft!!!
The most epic game never created up to now! Started playing in 2006, break from 2013 till 2 months ago...and so excited to get it again! Strength and Honor to all of you!
Probably the most recognized music in MMO history. Maybe even gaming, even if you don't know where it's from I'd be surprised if people haven't heard it.
Gosh. I just downloaded wow classic the other day, and even though I couldn't log in (didn't have beta), just hearing this theme music again was incredible. It wasn't nostalgia. There's just something about this track that makes it unparalleled in hyping you up for the world of warcraft. This track is just that good.
Blizzard. I have an idea for next expansion for WoW. Forgot on Draenor. Garrosh will travel in time to vanilla WoW and this will be the login music. :D
I want WoW to be rebooted, update the graphics for the current generation, retain most of the good gameplay elements and mechanics, give better models and animations for all Races, give the game a much more serious and dark tone just like Warcraft 1 to 3, and start all over from where it began in Vanila.
I can't speak to the gameplay mechanics and overall tone, since obviously I haven't played it yet, but with the upcoming expansion Warlords of Draenor they are updating the graphics considerably. Examples of updated character models are online and some of them are pretty great. They're also updating how each model moves, so that, say, Tauren running is much more fluid and believable than currently. It's pretty impressive, though it'll be even more impressive if it will still run on older computers as they claim.
It's a shame that Cinemas haven't got this queued up to play when people are walking into screenings of Warcraft. You know, during the bit before the adverts when everyone is just wandering in to find their seats? Although for the authentic opening day experience they'd also need a 2 hour queue to get into the theatre, a couple of random projector disconnections, after which you'd have to go out and queue again, and a few people to tell everyone it'll all be up and running 'soon' but never giving an ETA ;)
Man, the time I spent agonising over what character to make, spending ages on the character menu listening to this amazing music, thinking of the great adventures I'd have, places I'd explore. I distinctly remember how happy I was and how much I enjoyed the game, even though I had just been killing boars in Teldrassil. I'll never forget how awesome it was to be a clueless newbie, wandering around and exploring the world.
Richard Princeton Yeah, shut up, WOTLK's the best Expansion, recent expansions are rotten... OK, maybe Cataclysme is not so shitty, but MoP and any that comes after, they are.
Shinigami Yuuki AS Nostalgic idiot and a weaboo. Pathetic. And you call Cataclysm "not so shitty"? Most of community agrees it was the worst expansion lol
Regardless of how much they wreck the fun of gameplay or streamline cookie cutter classes, there is one thing you can be sure Blizzard will never half-ass: music. Absolutely awe-inspiring in every single expansion, good or bad, including the atrocity of "Mists of Pandaria."
Trevor B. "streamline" You mean vanilla where you had very few actually useful abilities and mindless rotations? You're not only a liar but a nostalgic loser who can't adapt to change.
Solaxe S Personally, I liked the gameplay in WotLK the most. Well, towards the end, that is, when the game was balanced a bit better. If I weren't a roleplayer, I would have stopped playing with Cataclysm. I reeaally didn't care for Cataclysm or Mists of Pandaria, and I'm not caring very much for Warlords of Draenor, either.
yeah please support activision blizzard by buying this music again (that is, if you own wow) by getting it off itunes. Because you know, they aren't making any money with the 60$ char boost and selling mounts in the Wow shop.
2:07 I'm 14 and this soundtrack is just amazing, I would rather listen to this then new hip-hops etc.(I also like Arthas My Son, Call to Arms, Jaina Pride Of The Seas) they are all great, nice job.
john, Cata was a good expansion until 4.3, but before that, difficult, long dungeons, same for the raids, some trash but not too much, dailies but not too many (except magma front, ok), but overall until DS, Cata was a very satisfying expansion. Many people complained about Deathwing being a random, why? because compared to Arthas's presence and story (known to many, if not all), Neltharion was nothing, and Arthas being dead and gone left a hole in many player's hearts.
Oh the nostalgia. Ever since Cataclysm permanently changed old Azeroth there was this empty sort of feeling WoW gave me that never could be filled. I permanently quit the retail version in 2016. I thought Classic was gone forever and would never return. But when I heard that last year Blizzard is finally committed to making a classic server I felt happiness I haven’t felt in a long time. I cannot wait to return to Azeroth to hear this amazing piece of music and experience the unchanged world when I log back in and see the inactive Dark Portal once again. I will finally be able to relive that sense of wonder and amazement I had when I first played WoW well over a decade ago. I’ll see you there, fellow denizens of Azeroth.
I always thought I played WoW too much, but now that all the expansions are out I realize it won't ever be the same and I cherish and miss those times in the beginning, first playing this for the first time. Now I don't regret it
1:28 when you hear classic is gonna revive Vanilla vibes 2:27 but u discover the feeling of a new World is gone and the community already knows what to do
This piece always gives me goosebumps. Its titled Legends of Azeroth, and I feel like the players are the real Legends of Azeroth. Defeating dragons, stopping cataclysms from happening - its all us!
"You have been disconnected from the server." This epic soudtrack starts and so does my rage :D
+Vinicius Barbosa thanks you for this comment you make my life complete

In the intro of the movie. holy shit

Sorry to ressurect this 2 year old topic...

True

"you have been disconnected for the server" was usually seen with this music but luckily the music was so good we didn't mind.
Simply incredible! Probably some of the best music ever. I love how this song keeps on changing melodies and going from soft to loud and vice versa.
Exactly that is what makes it great. It starts out all badass and then goes soft and beautiful at 0:48. Then the outro is epic as fuck.
Jason Hayes is an absolute genius!

You can not generalize like that. There are still good ones but they get easily overshadowed by the large amount of bad ones.
Also nostalgia goggles.

+Michael009 At least according to the director that's just marketing being stupid and there will be nothing like that in the actual movie.

Na. Those were just lucky folks that had relatives at blizz
Tbh. The biggest legends are those who played wc3 before wow came out ;)
The Fudge of Doom soo... i'm one of the biggest legends :)
Along with me my friend!
The Fudge of Doom Unfortunately I was so young back then that I could not win without cheat codes in WC3. : )
Although I like the other wow themes. This one is by far the best one it simply gives me nostalgic chills of logging into vanilla for the first time. -Evasionx
CLASSIC WOW ANNOUNCED BOIS
I miss the old days, god damn I enjoyed those times..
I don't have anything against the current wow expansion either. It is just.. fuck this shit was epic.
I know I'm being redundant but really the nostalgia here is lethal enough to make someone resub
Only two more weeks until we can go home. Two weeks. We waited for years for this very moment. World of Warcraft is finally back.
At the start when 95% of the players didn't have any idea how play. No Meta, no cookie cutter builds, not even epic gear
I really appreciated that Blizzard created so fantasic world which satisfied my dream of fantasy.
Maybe even gaming, even if you don't know where it's from I'd be surprised if people haven't heard it.
brings back a lot of memories..
Still playing 1.12.1 WoW. Still hearing this song.
Still beautiful.
I wish you could pick what track plays at the login screen...
You can: czcams.com/video/7DMHI8U6_aE/video.html
Saw this played live by a full orchestra and slid down in my seat almost shitting my pants at how immense the brass sounded.
Such nostalgia tears, this soundtrack is always posted when a new expansion is getting released
THIS IS SO FUCKIN EPIC
I heard this played by local orchestra here during a gaming con and I can tell you it was orgasmic the whole 4 minutes of it.
You, sir, have made my week.
wow classic announcement. I ll be back soon.
0:50 - 5min loading screen back in 2006 on my 512mb RAM and a crap hard drive!
here it was 256mb ram and a nvidea 2 mx400.
then i upgraded to 512 mb ram and a readon 9550 se
good times
the feeling of first opening wow and hearing this awesome music and the first time loggin in, is beyond legendary...
It's a shame that Cinemas haven't got this queued up to play when people are walking into screenings of Warcraft. You know, during the bit before the adverts when everyone is just wandering in to find their seats?
Although for the authentic opening day experience they'd also need a 2 hour queue to get into the theatre, a couple of random projector disconnections, after which you'd have to go out and queue again, and a few people to tell everyone it'll all be up and running 'soon' but never giving an ETA ;)
this would be great, small things like this can really improve the experience, especially if you have memories with this song.
Blizzard had some thing special.
+libaconil they still got it
+George Staykov no, they don't
***** yes they do.
that thing is officially gone with burying of the diablo franchise at Blizzcon and the first ever booing from the crowd at any blizzcon. Rip Blizzard
Had!!!
hahahahahahahahahahahahhahahaha check 2:30 , they say ASS HOLE !!!!!
WoW 2005-2010 will always remain in my heart
Man, the time I spent agonising over what character to make, spending ages on the character menu listening to this amazing music, thinking of the great adventures I'd have, places I'd explore. I distinctly remember how happy I was and how much I enjoyed the game, even though I had just been killing boars in Teldrassil. I'll never forget how awesome it was to be a clueless newbie, wandering around and exploring the world.
All dese feels
Feels ...
I miss WOTLK...
This is from original gmae not from arthas expansion.
Jaxir Raywhisper Same, I still miss WOTLK...
Shinigami Yuuki AS WotLK sucked ass
Richard Princeton
Yeah, shut up, WOTLK's the best Expansion, recent expansions are rotten...
Ahh this song brings back so many memories of awesome gameplay and disconnections.
And tears do fall :( I miss those awesome days
Regardless of how much they wreck the fun of gameplay or streamline cookie cutter classes, there is one thing you can be sure Blizzard will never half-ass: music. Absolutely awe-inspiring in every single expansion, good or bad, including the atrocity of "Mists of Pandaria."
Very true, the tracks of wow are perfection.
Trevor B. "streamline" You mean vanilla where you had very few actually useful abilities and mindless rotations? You're not only a liar but a nostalgic loser who can't adapt to change.
Trevor B. MoP was funny, cataclysm was shit !
+Solaxe S Bullshit.
The best game in the world.
Not anymore. RIP Blizzard
@Y0ucef OBEY tbc and mop were good too!
Joseph N. Wotlk and legion ^^
Only Vanilla and BC
this is the song that always make you felt like you were about to delve in some epic shit.
i miss the old tunes we used to have.
so emotional... brings so many nice memories i and i wanna play again for the first time
yeah please support activision blizzard by buying this music again (that is, if you own wow) by getting it off itunes.
Because you know, they aren't making any money with the 60$ char boost and selling mounts in the Wow shop.
Yeah, it's a better idea to directly support Jason Hayes who composed this track.
It's coming back! WoW Classic by Blizzard!
For every game, the character creation screen is always the most exciting
so much nostalgia. i played this game when I was 3 years old, up until I was 6 or 7
Will be able to play this at my Garrison? WOT!?!? yes please!
Handshaking...
2:07 I'm 14 and this soundtrack is just amazing, I would rather listen to this then new hip-hops etc.(I also like Arthas My Son, Call to Arms, Jaina Pride Of The Seas) they are all great, nice job.
I could probably start to cry when listening to this. The memories!
12 years later
Holy Cow, it is 12 years now
so many memories... in my opinion WoW was good till wrath of the lich king, i stopped playing in cataclysm, wasnt the same thing
well no, the Lich King, your W3 hero was dead, get over it
paul michel and just because of it the expansion was bad? '-'
john, Cata was a good expansion until 4.3, but before that, difficult, long dungeons, same for the raids, some trash but not too much, dailies but not too many (except magma front, ok), but overall until DS, Cata was a very satisfying expansion.
Now I don't regret it
i will be back soon ! #wowclassic
1:28 when you hear classic is gonna revive Vanilla vibes
2:27 but u discover the feeling of a new World is gone and the community already knows what to do
Just so amazing, I have no words.
This piece always gives me goosebumps. Its titled Legends of Azeroth, and I feel like the players are the real Legends of Azeroth.
Defeating dragons, stopping cataclysms from happening - its all us!
AAAAAASSHOOOLEEE!
0:48 almost shed a tear of nostalgia! :)
Most perfect part. The transition
This makes me reminded of what a game this once was.
To think, soon we are going to hear this song in the mainstream again, as the launch of World of Warcraft Classic draws ever close.
