Which playable faction will you Enter first when Total War Warhammer 3 releases on February 17, 2022?
CHANGE OFR THE CHANGE GOD
The one we didn't see yet: Be'lakor. What about you Indy?
nurgle
Hail! THE LORD OF CHANGE!
Kislev.
The team working on Nurgle look like they had a lot of fun animating the units.
Imagine the amount of barf bags the weak-stomached ones needed.
It's like being ripped apart by an angry Mucinex commercial.
@@blakethesnek1 I mean considering the source material some of nurgle’s units are pretty watered down
@@airitech572 I do kind of wish they didn’t cut out the torn open guts with intestines and stomachs spilling out, rib cage is visible due to the flesh having rotted away and horrifying weeping sores and just burst blisters oh God. I would argue that it wouldn’t have been Slaanesh to get Warhammer 3 the pegi 18 rating it would’ve been Nurgle if they depicted his units like in the artwork and on the table top
@@Brotherbear-er7rn yeah honestly his monsters feel less rotted and more mutated
I’m really feeling nurgle, but the potential for *“BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!!”* is high
Then I'll take Nurgle's forces!!!
Yes, both factions campaign mechanics seem to be fun. While Khorne's gameplay is simple: Kill, main, burn and get free armies or skulls, Nurgle have the most unique but very challenging gameplay in form of rotating buildings and units recruitment plus lucky-gambling plagues. Both army rosters are good enough for the release, I think. I was touched by the Great Architect of Fate, so probably Tzeentch whose ranged roster and spellslinging is to my taste plus some campaign mechanics could be very OP potential.
Or in the case of Final Fantasy 14:
“BLOOD OF THE BLOOD LILY!!! SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!!!”
I'm a 40K fan so most of this isn't meant for me, but I absolutely love, and I mean LOVE, the way Chaos is depicted here, the brutality of Khorne, the Eldritch nature of Tzeentch, the elegance of Slaanesh, the jubilance of Nurgle, I love all of it, especially how things are presented from their perspective, you rarely ever see that in 40K, I fucking love it.
A 40k Total War is a real possibility after this
@@TrinityBigT Doubt it, The Total War Franchise has always been fantasy/medieval, don't think they can handle sci-fi, a new DOW would be dope though.
@@THExRISER after dow 3, I don't think we are gonna get dow 4. If anything mods for dow 1 and 2 are getting better and better
@@TypowyKubini Reasonable, they have no reason to make a sequel for a franchise that ended in failure.
I've seen those mods, they're mindblowing.
@@THExRISER if only 3rd game would be half decent.....
Main reasons I’m most excited for Khorne
1: they obviously look cool
2: their armored suit units kinda look like 40k marines
3: mmmmm demon spooky and cool
Also skarbrand

Their world map mechanics are also both simple and funny which focused on "Kill, main, burn" quote to get either Skulls and free armies. Update:these armies are -50% upkeep cost, not free as FAQ stated.
To think that by the time this releases in February, we will have endured a full year of teaser/promo hype. It's been a long haul friends but stay strong; we're heading into the final stretch !
69 days left
I just hope it won’t be overhyped and be really bad like cyperpuck
Wojtek Rome 2 was overhyped and had arguably the worst launch of any CA game. But look at it now. Easily one of the most played total war games under WH 2
@@dominicrubach9824 Very nice!
It better be good
I have no idea what to play first.
Ogres and Nurgle resonate with me on a personal level, but they are all cool.
I'm going with Cathay and Nurgle. Idk if I'll be able to pre order to play ores tho
holy shit i found a long lost brother here xD
@@XeroKarma Oh! That's great then!
I have the same feeling, i was leaning heavily on cathay. However Nurgle, Kislev, Slaneesh, cathay and ogres all really looks like a whole bunch of fun to play with.
guess i'll have to postpone this decision until im sitting with the actual game XD
Ogre seems so cool to me but they are also seem underpowered
Battles are gonna be way more visually pleasing that's for sure.
At 30 to 40fps max graphics too.
That’s like the least important part about a RTS videogame lol. I’d rather have them more tactical, but we’re probably not getting that
@@FilipMoncrief Yes, but it still has to be visually appealing to watch.
I'm sure that if they replace the models of the units with squares, circles and triangles the game wouldn´t be as fun.
@@strangerunderyourbed6411 yeah, but if they wanna make it visually pleasing, then they should work on those janky ass combat animations. And probably reloading animations too, since those don’t even exist in such a “aesthetic” game
I think they are all visually pleasing. The stuff they need to work the most is the attention to details imo
Not gonna lie, As a Slav, I felt a special kind of pride watching the Kislev trailer
Same, as a Ukrainian I feel an obligation to play Kislev first haha
I Love Kislev where magical ice fuse with brave Hussars!
Same here. Finland!
Khorne : Strength
Nurgle : Stamina
Slaanesh : Agility
Tzeentch : Intellect
We need some mini-series for Warhammer, these videos are always so amazing I would love to see some full story-lines from different perspectives of each of the races.
it wouldnt sell. there isnt much plot in mythic battles. only a niche market ... very small.
Read books :)
I agree. I believe if they market it just right people would be interested and intrigued outside of the community that normally plays this game. This shit is awesome and I've never played this game but spent the last hour looking through all of it and visiting the website
@@christoff124 Have you even read the books? There's plenty of plot. Total War just focuses on the battles exclusively, for obvious reasons.
@@christoff124 I suggest you have a look into the Gotrek and Felix series, plenty of material there for a show. And compared to some of the shit that gets released nowadays I think it'd be a good show.
You could say that the battlefields are gonna be... chaotic
🥁
I hope that "World map corruption" will also change appearances of battle maps e. g. There was beautiful Forrest once, now it is "Nurgle's Garden".
@@TheMrYadrian I mean they could do that for all corruptions(which they wont but i would be cool): For example for the vampires make the grass grey, the trees dead, maybe add some corpse piles, for skaven(although it would be kinda op) random slaves(not to much) that roam around, holes in the ground and warpstone somehwere, also the natrue erradicated and maybe a new terain type which slows down enemys. For plain chaos they could really make anything most likel around the lines of spoiled land, maybe colour the water red, give the trees new models and spawn some gveryx weak chaos untis.
I think in generell there could be much done with corruptions
"I don't need it. I don't need it. I definitely don't need it... I NEED IT!!!"
And he broke.
Still double back on the Winged Lancer & Skullcrusher scene. Gets me pumped everytime.
That really is an amazing trailer
Pretty sweet that Cathay makes an appearance too. The Dragon Emperor and the Moon Empress seem like a cool team.
honestly, if I were in in the warhammer universe, I would pledge myself to the first thing I would encounter... everything is so cool
Chaos undevided??,
idk about the people with mouths on your stomach
The only obvious answer is Tzeentch
@@thatguy3977 Say what you want about Grandfather Nurgle's blessings, but you can't deny that all of his minions are happy as fuck
You will make good Skaven slave yes-yes!
Who else is also excited for the Mortal Empires map for total war 3? And the sheer level of power it will hold
And how long itll take to press end turn. For fr 5 core chaos factions running around, plus all the armires you’d typically be at war with. Its gonne be amazing. Hopefully the core campaign is better than eye of the vortex though.
Everyone my friend. ^^
@@cephery8482 Some CZcamsrs are "experimentally" playing their faction ( mostly Empires and Dwarfs) against every faction they meet( simple visit declaring war on them) and there are both scary and funny results of this. P. S. Slaanesh may be a bit different - forced vassalizations and disciple armies suggests that he/she may be heavily focused on diplomacy with other factions.
I didn’t think Kislev was that cool or interesting but wow did the voice actor do an outstanding job in their trailer. 2:32 gives me chills
I think that the actors are still better than Warcraft Reforge ones.
I will say with those Axe-Gun wielding Kislevites, they missed out on replicating that famous elves vs orc scene from the first LOTR movie, where the elves shoot bows and then in a perfect synchronized fashion, flicked their swords upwards all down the line and started chopping orcs.
Could’ve done that similarly with a line of those dudes firing, and then as the enemies got closer, flip the gun around in an underhanded swing and chopped them all up the line
Or maybe I’m just crazy
Not charging back would have been absolutely the wrong choice. Maybe if they actually had a unit that's supposed to do that
Why do that, make an original work instead
@@tominieminen66 It's a trailer. I think we can chill out about what would be mechanically superior lol.
@@AnarexicSumo That's partly true, rule of cool is a thing after all. It's just that I think it would look rather silly, since the original scene in the LotR was as well
Mainly preferring to the synchronized cutting motion
I always thought I’d be a chad like Khorne or a cool guy like Tzeentch
As I get older I realize I’d probably end up being Slaaneshi more than anything else
Funny enough, the world is slowly turning into a slaaneshi culture
We're all going towards Nurgle, silly child
reject chaos, embrace ogre
@@TheHandofDestiny Slaneesh isn't just a sex god.
You're Erebus, you should know this. Lmao.
Honestly a time of pandemic is a mix between slaneesh and nurgle
Say what you will about the general weirdness of the press/release cycle leading up to TWW3, these trailers are god tier
Well, the good ones has started from the Cathay vs Tzeentch trailer because Khorne's one looked like unfinished and ugliest one.
Chaos God tier
Well I know it’s all subjective but from an spectacle point of view, both Slaanesh and Tzeencht delivered. I also liked their unit roster.
Slaanesh is the greatest mystery if we talk about world map mechanics details but he is definitely heavily focused on pseudo diplomacy( forced vassals and disciple armies) and his army while mobile it is micro intensive because of low armoured units. Tzeentch on the other hand focuses on planning you next step plus the most of his mechanics are not only funny but even OP, while army is magic ranger which means that any faction (except dwarfs I think) will be shredded before they enter into melee plus spellcasting is more rewarding than any other faction ( excluding maybe vampire factions).
I have to say... I feel like the Tzeentch trailer is a step above the rest. I like em all, but that Tzeentch one, hooooweee!!
I completely agree, EXCEPT Slaanesh not Tzeentch
I think that’s what’s really cool about them. Everyone seems to watch and think all are cool but one or two are a step above. And everyone has a different favourite. That’s when you know you’ve hit it out the park with all factions.
@@64bitUnity Agreed, what does that say about us?
@@andrewreid7582 I wonder if anyone found Cathay to be the one that's a step above? After watching this whole thing, that's the only one which left me feeling utterly "meh". But maybe someone out there is the opposite person to me.
@@chrisplatt4 Its interesting that they decided to use a male voice actor, i think alot of ppl hear a female when they think about slaanesh. And you know what i rlly liked that, it is a god of chaos after all it can be what ever it wants.
So stoked to see the ogre kingdoms coming to warhammer 3. Can't wait to take my favorite fantasy faction for a test drive.
Ranged units will shredd them plus factions like High Elves or Skavens may even 'eat them alive" with either spears mass or hybrid units accuracy.
@@TheMrYadrian hey. That's what it's all about. A worthy challenge. The ogres have their strengths and their weaknesses but so do the skaven. They are one of my favorites because they remind me of the greenskins. Also because they have giant ice age beasts and iron blasters and scrap launchers and lead belchers. To each their own when it comes to warhammer.
@@TheMrYadrian and oh but it is the ogres that will be doing the live feeding. LOL
@@thegametroll6264 well, their artillery units are really nice for eye and maybe with hunters great name that turns gnoblars into unbreakable may be a good Tar Pits like zombies. Of course, I love greenskins ( my 1st faction in W1 that I won short and long victory) and indeed Ogres reminds me them but they meat upkeep like Skavens but with better option of acquiring it. I only worry about late games for them.
@@thegametroll6264 in TW Warhammer greenskins also eat captives while skavens get food from raiding and winning battles, so Ogres are not pioneers in this topic. ^^
Tzeentch all the way. Magic, colourful flying speedy units.
Welcome, by the fate, brother.
All the demons look fine but tbh the only ones I really get an eerie vibe from are those of Slaanesh... Like just by looking at them you can feel that it is one of the most evil and depraved factions.
Its the visible degeneracy
@@benstolen12 yeah I guess like they're actually intimidating, and the same cannot really be said for the other chaos factions (not to the same extent anyway)
Well, their factions world map mechanics are still mystery and so we only know that he/she can force vassalizations on other factions and create Disciple Armies which characteristics are unknown to us. Their roster is "baiting enemy units to potential blobs and charge them from the tears and back many times".

We, the nobility of Sylvania, are true order!
I feel like the TWWH series is one where as long as quality content keeps coming I'd keep playing/buying. There is just so much potential and while not perfect they have done a ton to improve the game since the launch of TWWH 1
And let's wish that the Creative Assembly will support it for many years.
I remember playing this on tabletop before it came out on PC. I loved the work and dedication to putting into painting the figures. These trailers are very awesome and exciting to watch.
New update allows you maybe not to paint them but use all factions colours to play them in skirmish and/or multiplayer mode e. g. Striking colour vamps or purple lizardmen etc.
Best sayings of chaos trailers
Khorne - we are his savage reincarnate
Tzeetch - it is written change was inevitable
Slaanesh - feast on the delights of this world
Nurgle - the time. Of virilant rebirth is upon you.
I always read the Khorne one as "We are his savagery incarnate"
“It is foreseen, change was inevitable.” is what is said in the Tzeentch trailer
what about Ogres:
"just eatin til ya cant eat no more"
*OK, all my skepticisms aside, this just looks glorious.*
Crossing my fingers its real and I'm not floating to my reward in the afterlife and only imagining this.
10 minutes 59 seconds of full chub, chills, and hype!
Why CA doesn't post their trailers in 4K is honestly beyond me. The versions they upload are just a blurry mess because YT's compression cannot handle everything that's happening in the trailers. Finally I can actually see what's happening!
CA marketing department has been always "strange", starting from, at least, Warhammer 2 pre release period.
That smirk at the end of the announcement trailer still gets me 8D
Tzeentch was the best!~Both visuals and music!
Indeed! Tzeentch rules.
Hype is not enough to describe the feeling.
Don't exhaust yourself. There are 39 days to the release.
Member when people said there was no way we were getting monogods, Kislev, or Cathay. I member.
I just picked up 1 and 2 on sale this week so it’s dope to know I’m a month away from a new entry. I feel like I got so much to play already xD
Bears, Vodka and Gunpowder. Only that matters.
imagine if they make a total war hammer game with ultramarines orcs ect, i would definitely buy it!
You mean Orks
I'm hoping they come out with the chaos dwarfs
they would be missing out if they didn't add them at some point
They said they plan to represent every table top race. And Cathay kinda lends to to them even covering the obscure ones. They said have years of support planned for the game
They will spam dlcs like crazy in this one get your wallet ready
CA has created a large blank space in Warhammer 2 map where Chaos Dwars settled, so it would bad ideas not adding them after it.
Thanks!, this is how CA should post them, i can finally see something other than blurry pixels xD
Love the music in the tzeentch trailer.
1:08 Khorne
3:14 Tzeentch
5:35 Slaanesh
6:47 Nurgle
I now know the order of my playthroughs. For maximum diversity I alternate between Melee/ magic/ mixed arts focus and between "Order" and Chaos. And I try to avoid 2 races that face each other consecutively (e.g. tzeentch & Cathay) mostly to encourage different starting positions. Doesn't work out perfectly but taking my personal preferences into account this leads to the below:
1. Belakor (chaos mixed arts)
2. Ogres ("Order" melee focus)
3. Slaanesh (chaos mixed arts)
4. Cathay (Order Magic focus)
5. Khorne (chaos melee focus)
6. Tzeentch (chaos magic focus)
7. Kislev (Order mixed arts)
8. Nurgle (chaos mixed arts)
What do consider skaven they definitely aren’t order and they aren’t really chaos
@@cumunist2120 in terms of alliances, Skaven are more Chaos than Order. But in terms of diversity of playthrough (in TWW2) I would not consider them Chaos-like. Skaven are similar to Ogres in that way. Although Ogres don't lean either way. Ogres are more like Orcs; independent evil
I wouldn't put ogres to "order" but to evil category like vampires, Greenskins.
I'm probably gonna play Nurgle first. I've only been playing the "good guys" in the first two games so far, so I want to start off playing as chaos in this one.
The first 20 seconds of the announcement trailer reminded me of Varian's letter in Legion
man im hyped for the plague-lord
Damn that faction list map and unit roster looks awesome was really hoping for the chaos dwarves though…probably a dlc faction though.
With exception to mortal units of Tzeentch(recolours and re-spammimg the same umits) I think all other rosters are on high level for starting game.
Cathay honestly looks pretty badass to me
Wow I didn't know what this is but now interested! Amazing graphics 👌
The longer they postpone the release means that they are adding things to it to make it better 😄
Let's hope that everything is alright. Besides there is still time for potential news and presentations. Ah 9th Legendary Lord is still 'mystery' for us.
I am soooo hyped for Kislev! 🐻❄️👸🏻
So do I for Kislev as well as Tzeentch.

@@primachpepe8597 That's the general feel. Not confirmed yet though.
There's a fifth faction at launch? I thought these games started with four.
@@okubothecat Well given that the demon factions are all separate factions with their own units, play style and objectives that's a start of 4 immediately from just Chaos. Then we have Grand Cathay and Kislev so that's another 2 and finally the pre-order race of the ogres which is available a few weeks after the release date. So that's actually 7 starting factions for this game at launch and not 4/5.

кислев эпичнее всего для меня выглядел. мечтал увидеть фентезийных боевых медведей))
Firstly, I have to say that the composer of the trailer music doesn't get nearly enough praise. Each piece adds so much to the trailers and they are all so unique.
Now, I think in terms of quality of trailers I would rank these thusly:
1. Ogres (It was between this and Kislev but this one just did it for me. Really epic, love the VA and all the animations and sound were great.)
2. Kislev (Definitely the best in terms of music, both in a vacuum and thematically. The sound is amazing, the visuals are stunning and I personally really appreciate the work Katarin's VA did. Really great trailer.)
3. Nurgle (This is here mostly because the VA is so great. This one and Slaanesh were definitely right on par with one another which made this decision tough, but this one had toilet humour which makes it automatically superior)
4. Slaanesh (Basically what I said about Nurgle. I do have to say that the N'Kari animation at the end is one of, if not my most favourite animations in all three games)
5. Tzeentch (Epic music is cool but I really don't like listening to the VA, just wears on my eardrums, especially with headphones)
6. Khorne (Nothing inherently wrong, but just not comparable to the others, also the orange filter put over everything wears on the eyes)
7. Cathay (There is so much about this one that is just so lame, bland voice acting, a much more game-y feel that made it look less impressive, etc., which is made even more saddening by the fact that the Cathay announce trailer was absolutely amazing)
Anyways, no one asked for these opinions but here they are anyways.
Cathay announcement is the best so far
@@Anttown123 oh for sure. There was so much that was right about that, music was absolutely gorgeous, the narrative was good, the visuals were stunning 🤌. The Cathay announcement, Fire and Ice, and the Announcement trailer for the game remain the best in all aspects.
@@Anttown123 Cathay vs Tzeentch yes but anything else including sucks man they may be better than Khorne if we talk about trailers but their "creation" and "appearance" is total opposite of what I have in mind. Worse, they seem less "fantastical" and "magical" in look than Kislev.
I am so hyped for Kislev.
There’s going to be some crazy cinematic videos made in WH3.
You can really see the increase in quality as these trailers have gone on; I was so hyped to see the Khorne trailer back when it came out, but looking at it now it's quite poor in comparison to the likes of the Ogre Kingdoms and Slaanesh!
There was 3 months period of silence between Khorne trailer and other factions "enter the world" trailers, so CA fixed and improved their development plan.
Id be more excited if I saw updates to the other factions. Like a better bretonnia and naval ships for pirates😂
Amazing.

And 5:47 you get the dirty feeling that you just know what they're doing with them things when they're not in combat. lmao wtf
These trailers are so good
This looks really hype, but I'm still kinda disappointed by Kislev. I think with a few tweaks, getting rid of some bear mounts, increasing the variety of animals used (why not have horses for the light war sleds and something like the Wood Elf great stags for the heavy sleds?) and changing up the look of the bottom of the sleds, it could be really cool, but as it is now it feels a bit too, well, bearish?
80% of Kislevs problems are those fucking butt ugly sleds. The rest are the unimaginative mount options. Kislev is by far one of the factions i want to play the least
@@1YCARADOFACAO true. They look like a mod for WH1
