Really CooL seeing & hearing this new '23 YZ450!
Not only is it an amazing weapon with all the needed updates but obviously typical Yamaha bullet-proof dependability...appreciate all the feedback. If only Yamaha would finally make it Grabber-Blue color like the Japanese works bikes used to be, then you could actually see how freakin' good it looks in motion-ALL the other production bikes are a bright color except the YZ blue. Wellll, on a "bright" note i guess the smooth factor is impressive with virtually no vibration. Best year for Supercross/Motocross just got a even better.
Speaking of Yamaha reliability. I have a 08 yz250f that I bought when it was brand new. I’ve never cleaned the carb and never did any valves or engine work in all these years. Just oil changes and air filters. The thing runs mint AF. Probably has over 150hrs on it. It starts up on the first or 2nd kick when I bring it out of storage. It amazes me every year. I don’t hear about that level of dependability from any other bike.
I was thinking about finally upgrading this year and trying out KTM but I’m just loving everything I’m hearing about this bike. I think I may have to stick with the blu cru

He spoke of the smooth map spinning but he didn’t spoke of the traction control, so maybe it wouldn’t spin with it.
All of my 500 have maps too. Except we called it throttle control.

Peak power doesn't mean a thing. It's about tractability and smooth delivery. It took me forever to understand that but there's a reason very few people race 500s or even the 700. Moto isn't a drag race or HillClimb.

looks like a SXF crashed into PW50 and made a mutant baby, that fender is almost as worst as the 84-86 RMs duck bill fender, except it's like the PW 50s, rest of body work looks straight off a KTM SXF, but under all that it sounds good, for sure Yamaha has been killing it recent years, but dam that front fender is something only a 4t mother could love! Redesign that ASAP. shrouds could have had a bit more work to look less than pre 2023 KTMs shrouds..eh. let be honest.Otherwise race test is all that, matters, results not repping!!

I don't understand why manufacturers are making the seats higher and pegs lower...it really makes it hard to weight the outside peg when cornering
easier to go from sitting to standing, less cramped for average size to taller guys. It may not seem like much, but definitely conserves energy throughout the day. You can still get lowered seats and shave them down, etc.
its good to know its comfortable for the 4 percent of the population over 6-2
Short people problems are now average height people problems. Bikes keep getting taller.
I'd put the 2022 radiator shrouds, from number plate and front mud guard. I love Yamaha, I bleed blue but I'm really not sure about the new front end. . . . The blue is still outstanding but yea I have my reservations
