    Another enjoyable trip review, Hugo! (…and an added bonus to get this one slightly sooner haha!).
    Qantas still have a solid product on their domestic routes, and while it is nice to get served an included snack/refreshment on all domestic hops, the meal offerings are a far cry to what you used to get!
    One good thing is that there is a complimentary bar service on all domestic flights (it’s actually after 12pm, not 4pm!) - so that’s better than virgin or Jetstar where you have to pay for drinks (a mini bottle of wine on Jetstar is around $13!).
    It seems the Qantas 737 fleet is showing its age - and it’s really pot luck of you get a refitted interior with individual seat screens, or just the old style tablet holders.
    Great that T1 at Melbourne airport is getting an upgrade- it needed it and it’s looking good. The Qantas club in Melb is also good - I just wish it had a view of the tarmac like the business class lounge does!
    All the best for 2024 Hugo and I look forward to following more of your adventures! ✈️

      Indeed a far cry,the food option,from what was received in the past.Craft can be ancient indeed.

      Thank you so much! Yeah they do, unfortunately yes they still are far from what they used to be even in 2018-2019. Ah okay, thanks for the correction! For sure it is a big perk of QF. Yeah… Thanks again!

    Hi old school here you did a great trip report. It is sad to say but to see domestic on board economy service with Qantas has deteriorated. No hot meals no trays. My last flight with QF June 2013 BNE-ADL we still had tray hot meal and booze service. Your packet of snack and water and tea QF flight well it is cheap. Mass travel it is just like taking a public road bus to school and back 5 days a week.
    We in Adelaide had TAA DC9 Saturday non-stop T-Jet rocket non-stop service to Coolangatta service ADL-OOL as it was called then 1979 on board with great service yes with hot meals and booze. TAA had the new colours on VH-TJL Douglas DC-9-31 late 1979 promoting Queensland with Coral Islander colour scheme. A lot of work went into applying the paint job onto their aircraft at the time.
    Yes I am old school and support your endeavours.
    As part of life you fulfilled a lot in my life it has been interesting what your youth in the air transport industry your exposure as what you expect the norm for you is not of me. Deregulation well cheap fares starting in the USA October 1978 days and flowing around the globe.
    Keep up with your great work.
    Appreciate and respect it all.
    Ansett 727.

      Thank you! Yeah, even I remember flying from SYD-MEL with Qantas in 2018 and even then you got a hot meal, snacks and the full beverage service.

      @@joanneroberts855 Yes it was and now low level economy service with Qantas service in 2024? A huge fixation is with trip reports on membership, loyalty, lounges, screens, apps, charge points and more.
      Stuff it pay by cash get carbon ticket hand written with OK. Checkin at at airport with TAA or Ansett analogue acrylic clock hand moved for departure time and gates and at the departure gate get your seat allocation sticker stuck on your IATA ticket earlier the better lean over the departure desk and point I want this this seat! Get the sticker! Yes now board no security and great service in flight! Including smoking cigarette and with Ansett Teacher's Highland Scotch Whisky!
      Yes they were the days!
      Economy class! Days gone by....
      But you paid for it!
      Two airline policy it was great but weird with parallel scheduling. Service was important on board as was with Alice Springs every second day with both TAA and Ansett alternate days ADL-ASP at the time.
      Ansett 727.

    Hey Hugo 👋
    Miss the personal screens on each seat, but the double padding sure makes up for it. Looked like a great day to leave Melbourne. Loved ❤️ the engines on takeoff 👌
    Superb complimentary snack service 👍
    Weather looks a lot better in the Gold Coast ✨️
    Look forward to your next upload bro 👋

    I feel the cabin crew on domestic flights are way better than the international. Crews on domestics are more mingle, always start conversation with passengers, and more caring.

    Thanks for the amazing video. Pls help me with one query.
    I am traveling with my family of 3 (30kg*4 bags) so can we do combined luggage check in at kiosk or it will take 1 passenger (40kg) at a time.

    • @Aviation763
      @Aviation763  Před měsícem

      You’re very welcome! Sure! As far as I’m aware, at a Qantas kiosk you have to check bags one by one, so im not sure that it would combine luggage weights, so I’d suggest you go to a counter (if you can find one) for that.

    • @GauravSingh-wu9ru
      @GauravSingh-wu9ru Před měsícem

      @@Aviation763 we are under same PNR so I beleive they should allow us for combined checkin, but yes I will prefer to go for traditional counter rather than self kiosk machine for check-in.
