The most disappointing thing about this game is that the players actually played to win, and they played really well. But it was obvious that the fans weren’t behind them. I actually feel bad for Spurs players and Ange because that was the biggest game of their season but their own fans were against them. As a City fan, fair analysis. For me, Pep’s high line has been a disaster all season and his refusal to adapt it (like he did with his tactics last season) has been a negative for the team. Spurs def outplayed us 1st half, but all City need is a tiny chance to make something happen and when KDB and Haaland are in form, it can happen anywhere on the pitch at any time.
Scoring goals, let alone a win at Spurs felt almost as good as winning the treble lol. Finally, we got it over the line. One more game to go. Nothing is a given and I am praying we can keep our nerves, be clinical and make history Sunday but there’s still a lot of jeopardy in that game and by no means is it a foregone conclusion as some have suggested

As a City fan i'll be more than surprised if we blow it now .... we have looked increasingly determined over the last five games, and, although you can never be certain of anything, i just can't see City allowing West Ham to disrupt this title charge now.
Haaland has scored about 35 in all competitions this season .... and he would have one more last night if Gvardiol hadn't of wildly gone for goal in the first half, instead of playing it across to Haaland lurking right in front of goal ...... with his goal tally, you wouldnt believe that he's missed 2-3 months of the season with injury, would you?
But Tottenham played much better than i thought they would last night, and especially in the first half when they it difficult for us to play our normal game .....

@@Tibor860 but it’s also by no means the worst either.
Look, we’ve been out of contention since I can remember, after all I’m only 20, and I didn’t really pay any attention to the title race before last season so do let me know, did Liverpool get this same treatment that Arsenal is now getting?
From talking to older Arsenal fans around me, they are all saying that this team from last season and this season is just as good as the teams which won the league in 89, the 90s and early 00s and I get that we haven’t been any good in the cup competitions this season.
It annoys the hell out of me that we failed in the cups again, we drew Liverpool in the FA Cup during our couple week goal drought in December, got knocked out of the Carabao at the same rough time and then got knocked out of the UCL by Bayern.
What I will not agree with though, is calling for the manager’s head over this for two reasons. 1. Who will you find better who plays this system? 2. None of the losses in the cups or league bar 1 or maybe 2 were due to the structure or managerial decisions, the Liverpool and West Ham defeats in the FA and Carabao Cup happened due to the striker’s falling short and the Bayern defeat honestly could had been avoided so easily. Their first was a Gabriel and Raya dual mistake and the second was a Saliba foul mistake when White had already tackled the player cleanly. That’s not on the manager, that’s on player errors. As for the league, the same problem persisted, there was a clear lack of goal scoring ability no matter what Arteta did in some matches, take Fulham, West Ham and both the Aston Villa matches for instance.
Another thing which I will not take this season is being told Arsenal bottled the league. Last season yes but this season no. Out of 17 matches Arsenal played in the league in 2024, they have won 15 drawn 1 and lost 1, Man City have come along and played 19 and have won 16 and drawn 3. Arsenal have picked up 46 points and City have picked up 51 points.
It’s not bottling if you are behind with 6 games to go but you still win them all and pressure City to not make an error. After all, no matter how unlikely it is (11%) City could have a mare against West Ham and Arsenal win the league.
Although I’ve resigned myself to the fact this season. That doesn’t mean I give up on the club or accept it as a second rate club. This team is fully capable of winning the league and every knockout tournament. I don’t know why they seem to play worse in cup competitions but the squad on paper is good enough to win everything and as such, I am still confident and happy going into next season, Arsenal have proven they aren’t a one season wonder.
