I wish the US would get on Japan's level when it comes to vending machines (and public transportation and infrastructure, for that matter). Great video!
And product packaging.
And damn near everything else for that matter!
USA vending machines gotta be bullet proof xD
That cant happen..there is too much niggas..
All u guy should get together and move to japan
I am a big fan of Satoshi. I find him simple, warm, witty and very charming. Satoshi you make every video more fun and interesting.😀😀
Same here.... he always makes my sister and I smile
Agreed. I adore Satoshi-san! #SakuttoFam
Very honest and kind too! Lovely to listen to him talk~
Oh ya he makes these videos.. he is so fantastic.
I read a comment from a viewer and I loved it, he/she said like: "Whenever Satoshi describes food it's like he is telling you the meaning of life." Isn't that SO true? Just loove it.
Other countries need to step up their vending machine game (>人<;)
they probably would if people would stop breaking the machines and stealing the stuff...
@@livelovelife32 Put them in stores. Gamers would probably like machines like this.
Here in America, we have sandwiches that might give you worms, and chili dogs that might give you food poisoning...
But hey, at least credit card slots are becoming more and more popular to buy those things!!
What a frikkin bore...
@@livelovelife32 Japanese have a system where if someone tries to tamper with the machine the police comes right away
In the USA, those machines would be shredded in minutes unfortunately.
"why does coca cola taste so much better, from a bottle?"
IKR? People call me crazy for thinking so.
But it taste different ! Glad im not the only one :D
Same here 😅
I posted this in my own comment, but i wanted to reply to you specifically as well.
The plastic bottles throw off the taste. Plastic has a weird chemically smell cause its a man made material. Glass is natural, so it doesn't have that chemical taste cause there's no chemicals. And aluminum has that metallic taste. Soda in glass bottles gives you the soda's true flavor.
That's my theory anyway.
Glass doesn't take flavors out or in the drink, so your as close as possible to the coke taste... Also difrent countries have difrent recipe or taste.. A coke from Switzerland is way nicer as a German or Dutch one
Yeah I hate soda but whenever I drink coke from the glass bottle it tastes amazing
Same here!
I'm constantly amazed at the quality and reasonable price of vending machine food in Japan. As others have said, America needs to catch that wave!
REGINOX It will never stop until the government enforces strong regulations to vending machines, and businesses who seek to put them make sure they are in a secure place with cameras. Also, it’s up to society as well. Because it is not reasonable when just a few greedy people ruin the fun for all of us who just want a tasty and cheap vending machine meal. It can happen one day, let’s hope !
A bowl of ramen came out of the vending machine WTF
You need to go to Asia to experience the amazingness of vending machines.
@@Lilyium I've been to Japan already. I just never seen a ramen vending machine.
They also have vending machines with chicken nuggets, French fries, fresh popcorn, and lots more. So cool. :)
Most amazing with meat and vegetables
The thing is once the novelty wears off they're really just microwave meals out in the middle of nowhere the majority of the time xD
You need a prepacked back pack with spare chopsticks, some silicone oven mits and serviettes ready for your vending machine expeditions. I love these, we dont have machines like this in Aussie
😆 His face when he drank the dr. Pepper was exactly like my cat when she tried to drink my grapefruit juice.
That wasn't doctor pepper, it was the disgusting diet doctor pepper.
Probably not a great idea to drink soft drinks when you’re borderline dehydrated. It’ll give you a sugar rush, but you’ll just need more liquids.
tbh, I also hate Dr Pepper
@@stapuft With my type 2 I've gotten to 👍 diet Dr 🌶, even the diet Dr ⛈ of WalMart.
@@deborahfauvor4064 personally I can't stand the aftertaste (of the aspartame), but I guess it can be gotten used to after a while if you were forced.
I'm sorry you have to deal with that, I'd fucking hate to have to prick myself multiple times a day to test my blood sugar.
I really love the variety of Vending Machines. I also respect the lack of vandalism on those Machines. Japan has Laws that work!
That coke machine would be smashed and empty in a day. anywhere else.
PREPFORIT It’s not just the law. Japanese people are taught in schools how to behave and to not be heathens lol
@@lmaree200886 I agree 100% I just can't type/text that fast. I did Not want to be comment 900 or higher : )
Also the vending machine is generally within sight of security cameras
@Kirill Borovets You are racist trash.
Had a fright when Shinichi stopped suddenly. Glad you recovered. All the food looked good, hard to believe the ramen was from a vending machine! And im watching this while eating a can of beans for dinner. 😭
Aids.
Love how you both compliment each other, your video is great.
Your positive attitude and love for each other makes us feel good
Swear to god there must be a cook behind those hot meals vending machines 😂
There used to be a lot of things like that called automats where you would walk into a room about the size of a Subway shop that had a wall of little clear plastic doors (like 50-100+ of them) w/ food items behind them that you would just insert money and take like a vending machine, but there were cooks in a kitchen behind them that would keep making and restocking items as ones were sold.
@@xnonsuchx damn
Uuuuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhh... there is. Hello.
There actually is, they are made in a kitchen and filled every day. You can check the OnlyinJapan channel to see it.
Satoshi always gives my favorite response to how things taste. I love watching his cute facial expressions and the kind things he says about EVERYTHING... except Dr Pepper. :)))
Oh yes ... please come back to this place and show us some more. This was fun. :-)
Ericsurf6 was there too
My dad used to have one of those coke machines in his garage. I’m so glad I got to see one again. Brings back great memories.
I love that even in Japan that the older folks in trades like Mechanics rebuild vending machines like the mechanics here in America do! It shows we're all human, trying to preserve older eras :)
Seniors rule!!!
if i have those vending machines near my house i will never cook ever again
Satoshi is so excited! I love it. Also that chashumen looks great for vending machine!
Coca-Cola ALWAYS tastes better from a glass bottle! I don't know why, but it's true.
It's simple.
Glass isn't porus, so the carbon dioxide can't leak out, therefore it stays In The bottle, keeping the pressure up, preventing more co² from escaping the soda, meaning it will be fizzier, and that level of fizzyness is what all the ingredients were formulated for.
While aluminum also isn't porus, it is reactive, and can therefore leach into the soda, giving it a metallic taste, but glass is non reactive, hence why glass ware is used in lab settings.
@@stapuft thx for the explanation! is it possible the glass can keep the soda colder? coz that's the impression I get when i drink one
@@lindtn yeah, glass like plastic is an insulator, but the extra thickness and the better insulating capabilities (it goes liquid at a much higher temperature) it has over plastic make it a better insulator. Whereas metal is a conductor drawing the heat\coldness away from the drink and into the can.
Also the thickness of the glass and pressure from proper carbonization of the soda, makes the sealed bottle a high pressure container, which lowers the freezing point of the liquid inside allowing it to go to around 30°f or so without becoming ice, and so because of that, the mechines that dispense the glass bottles can (and sometimes are) actually be set at freezing or lower, while still dispinsing liquid and not ice.
But if they are set to such a cold temperature, you can sometimes be greeted with an "instant icee" where the drink appears liquid while sealed, but when you release the pressure by popping the lid, the first bubbles that form instantly freeze and starts a chain reaction freezing the whole bottle. (There are multiple videos demonstrating this effect with plastic bottles, but what most neglect to say is there is a narrow time window for that with plastic, but with glass, due to its superior capabilities over plastic the time window is virtually infinite)
@@lindtn sorry for the long winded answers. Also no problem, I always say a day where you don't learn anything is a wasted day.
They use real sugar in the glass bottles not the same formula as in the can
Satoshi always has the BEST hats!
And Shinichi always has the BEST shirts!
The mix of English and Kanji everywhere is so fascinating.
Satoshi tapping the toastie made me laugh!
Loved Satoshi's excitement and review of all the foods tried.
Satoshi's face when drinking dr.pepper is so funny 😂😂😂
Wonderful video guys. The Vending machine aspect is like taking a step back in time to a much simpler, yet very agreeable time period. The Ramen looked very tasty. Hope you recovered okay after your heat affected turn Shinichi. It was though very funny watching Satoshi sample the Dr. Pepper drink ! Have a great weekend both of you & thank you for the entertaining, informative & Fun videos, always :)
I love love love all your vending machine videos 😭
I have never seen any vending machines like that in the U.S. Comments are right we need to step up our game. Wow. You guys are amazing, I love watching you.
I just found your channel today and I love you guys already! Keep up the great videos and tutorials!!
These are my favorite videos from you two. It makes me so happy.
Watching the video (grilled ham sandwich) inspired me to pause the video and go down to the kitchen to make my own and wash it down with a glass of home made mugicha. The shaved ice made me think of the Italian ice dessert granita. Maybe this weekend. :)
I love this episode. Ramen from a vending machine was fascinating. Yes, take us to more vending machine trips
I was thinking the toast looked soggy until Satoshi tapped it and confirmed otherwise, almost like he could read the viewer’s mind 😆 Love all of your videos, guys 👍🏻
It is amazing that you put 100 yen in the coca cola machine and that you can just take the bottle out. In Germany and Holland they would take all the bottles out in one turn. The trust and the hounesty in Japan is so refreshishing.
I assume it locks the bottles in with some mecanism after you take 1. You can see some metal parts move on the left side of the bottle
You can only take out one bottle. The mechanism doesn't allow you to take more. These are the type of machines I grew up with and believe me, people would try to trick the machine! They also had machines where the bottles sat in a crate with the lid like a chest freezer. You could also only release one bottle per deposit of your money.
I was thinking the same thing. Not that I think the Japanese would steal, but it's good to know there is a mechanism to prevent it.
UnegaWaya ur probably right cuz even for japan that’s a little too trusting
Please, go again! And do bring oven mitts and cutlery 😁😘😘
Revisiting TabiEats is such a joy. Satoshi’s voice is so soothing, wonderful, ASMR worthy. This channel has done more for my interest/desire to visit Japan than all my travel books combined. No heat strokes Sinichi!! You are too well loved. LOVE THIS CHANNEL!!!
You two might be my new favorite youtubers 😍😍😍
This is informative and enjoyable.
I'm sorry it was such a hot day when you went there, and Shinichi wasn't feeling well for part of the time! I hope you both got home safely after that. Please always be sure to take good care of yourselves. The vending machines there are so much fun! Thank you for trying so many interesting foods. If you go back again, I'd love to see another video!
It's 12AM and I have a craving for miso. Why am I watching this? Why do I do this to myself?
Just found this channel and now I am down a rabbit hole of watching all their videos. They are both so adorable!
I love this channel!! Such great content guys :) It was hilarious watching you both struggle with the super hot ramen! Thx and love from the UK in these hard times
"stay hydrated!"
As he proceeds to drink caffeine and sugar >.>
Caffeine and sugar aren’t generally what you’d be worried about. Sodium/salt are more dangerous. However, water.
@@AliBaba-kz2zv Well you're certainly right about sodium being worse.
Yea, I cringed at this as well. Drink water when you are dehydrated...
@@AliBaba-kz2zv Meanwhile in their instant ramen video, everyone is saying sugar is worse than sodium lol. But really sodium is only bad if you're constantly dehydrated and have heart issues. Otherwise just drink more water and you're fine!
shut up bitch
When that vending machine had shaved ice I was so mad. I want that machine next to my house
Love it! Thank you for another great episode. You guys definitely need to go back and make another video of this place.

Enjoying food tasting comments from both of you! Both of you work well together to make a nice presentation!
Yes! Definitely a sequel, but wait a bit until it is cool outside. Don't want you both to get sick from heat.
Always amazed at the number and types of vending machines in Japan. :) Just wanted to say enjoy the content guys...
Love watching you both together in videos. I'm amazed at how the ramen came out of the vending machine. It's like there is a chef working behind the machine and prepares your dish to order. Would love to see you go back and try some other items.❤️🌹
Thank you for a very informative look at those vending machines. And their products.
Kanagawa Prefecture is where my mom’s family is from! So glad to see you there. 😊

Love this video guys, your on the road videos are my fave and those machines are so cool.

Thta looked great. Wish I had been there to buy some stuff.
I have always wanted to visit Japan, and this video just makes me want to visit even more. How unique and fun to have vending machines with hot meals!
I would love to see more of these videos! I live in the United States, so I'm fascinated by all the amazing videos you make! Please! Keep them coming! :)
if that was in the US, some Karen would sue the company for burning her fingers.
And the machines would continue to be used.
Japan is an incredibly litigious country as well. Perhaps not the best thing to comment on.
you guys were killing me with that hot bowl of ramen..lol..i literally laughed out loud.. :D
mikieson yeah I was on the bus to work giggling so much
me too
Lmao chchchchchch 😂
I've been watching you both for a few years now and I'm loving the direction you've taken. Such amazing chemistry now too! #SakuttoFam

Can't wait for you to go back and try the other machines. My wife and I love watching your videos 😁🤗
I bet you’ve never seen a coke bottle before since your young
Me a Mexican: *laughs in non recyclable bottles*
niko_jaimes haha same but filipino
Hehehehehehe
In most of the US glass Coke bottles are nearly unheard of. I, however, live in Tucson so I can get them anytime from almost any grocery store.
Shane G thats pretty epic
Mexican Coke is the best Coke!
So, a really interesting(ish?) fact about those old coca-cola vending machines. Back when they were all still around and in working order, it was possible for people to open the door, pop the cap off of the bottle, and let it flow into a cup all without paying. I imagine it's not very hard to figure out why they stopped using that vending machine design.
I love all of your vending machine videos and that shaved ice looks so good
The foods in those vending machines looks amazingly good. Thank you for the video!
