you could prolly let the credits build up and mot spawn anything so the player cant get money for chests and then just place a couple overloading elder lemurians but also wouldn’t be fun at all. nice video!
The only issue is that there is a credit cap each stage, so the max you can get is limited, but I tried being the director against goose in another vid coming soon and I def tried that strategy and it was quite fun haha

Get this comment higher, I downloaded the mod and played with a few of my friends but we couldnt figure out how to use it. was basically just normal ror.

You'd think! But the mod still allows normal spawns to happen to avoid that exact issue, but it does help slow the player down and build up credits

Haha yeah I very much knew it was a crazy run but I will tell you it's certainly not scripted, and we didn't know how balanced the mod would be so we played it safe with rainstorm anyway
the friendly fire artifact would go insane in this mode
Faaacts
After playing dozens of games with providirector, i now the best ways of winning
Waste time: The more of their time you waste, the stronger you get. Do anything to make them waste time. Encourage it even.
Build/Use burst efficiently: Spawn a bunch of enemies on an ally like a beetle guard or drone to easily build up burst for when you need it. Specific enemies are horrifying to fight when under the burst effect.
Knowing good enemy types to burst: Gups are really good if you can bury the survivor in them. Blind pests rain down hellfire when bursting. Clay templars are the most terrifying thing if they finish spinning up their gun and have won me several games. A bursting lemurian horde can be very dangerous early game.
Spawning elites: Spam spawn elites on a survivor when they talk or go into an enclosed space. They usually die in moments, but might be tanky enough to get away in time.

This reminds me oddly of a game called darwin project with the same idea of a "director"
No monsoon/E8? /s (this is a great concept for ROR2 runs and i wonder why no one else does it if it's this amazingly fun to watch and play)
We had never used it before so we didn't know how balanced it would be, I def wanna try some more runs of this on monsoon with maybe some artifacts on, it really was fun!
Maybe you should use artifact of dissonance and artifact of evolution to make rematch more spicy?

also does it work with modded enemies or only vanilla?
@@kroniccgaming22 I haven't tested it with modded enemies yet actually so I'm not sure! But you actually can't use this mod unless there are 2 players, and I think the host is the director or the other way around but it's decided by who is the host

How to win as director: Don't spawn anything. Do not spawn anything. Don't spawn ANYTHING!!! Then when they start the boss, spawn as many blazing greater wisps that you can. They don't have items, so they will have a lot of trouble with them.
A comment many people have given, but the mod creator bested us, normal world spawns still occur so the player could get money that way, and then they added a credit cap so you can only save up so much before you run out of room, it's very tragic

How does the credit cap work with the increasing difficulty? Or those are two independent things?

The credit cap does go up as the difficulty increases but there are actually a ton of factors that increase the cap like the amount of items a player has, total time taken, and time taken on a stage after the teleporter is done!

So you could just not spawn anything till the end of the stage so the have no money to get items ?
You'd think but the mod still has default spawns so even if you spawn nothing they can still loot

Wait wouldnt it be a good idea to spawn NOTHING until your 3 stages in so the player has little money few items and then hit them with all you got
In theory, absolutely, but the mod gives you a credit cap meaning it stops earning at some point, and on top of that, normal enemies do still spawn so they would still be able to level up and get gold

Not a big fan of them spawning on the player. Would have been better if they spawned around the player imo. Seems like a fun mod though.
Yeah it's a new mod that's still being worked on and that's why it was cool that you can spawn them on drones too
