  • I just got a TD-3 and wanted to do a quick jam with it. Featured in the video is the TD-3 and the Novation Circuit. The MS 70-CDR is providing effects for the TD-3. I love the sound of the TD-3. I've used TB-303 software emulators before and have to say having an actual analog version is a completely different experience! It's so warm!

    Good stuff! I like the pad sounds blended in. Gives a feeling of space to the sounds while still having the punchy-ness of the TD-3.

    Cool track. A great marriage between these two devices. You have inspired me to make the same connection. Well done!

    Dope! How do you connect the td3?? When I try to send midi, it only sends it thru the synth 1 track while the other synth is playing, instead of the midi 1 channel. I’m on the new Novation circuit tracks btw

    • @System-1541
      @System-1541  Před 2 lety

      Make sure the td is set to the same channel your sequence is sending from. I think track 3 is channel 3. Set the TD to channel 3 and see if that works.

    Great Video! I just got a TD-3 and am trying to sync it to clock on my Circuit. MIDI out from the Circuit to MIDI in on the TD-3. (Just like you have it). I've set the TD-3 from Internal to MIDI and . . . .Nothing! I can't get them to talk with each other. Is there a step I'm missing? My circuit does fine connecting to other gear. Any help would be appreciated!

      There's a couple things you could check. One the td-3 instructions are a little confusing. I've thought I had it set the midi clock a couple times when it really wasn't. Check what it says for that setting using the software editor for the td if you haven't already. Second it may be that the circuit is not send it's clock. I think you can set this if you hold shift while powering it on.

      @@walkthebeat512 how do you switch to midi?? Do you keep the first green light lit and the second unlit??

      @@whiteghost4837 yes I have!!! So I went on Amazon and bought a TYPE B (Very important because the circuit uses a proprietary cord other than the typical cord) midi male to 3.5 mm male cord. I went midi out on the circuit to midi in on TD-3 (the circuit uses the 3.5 mm jack). Then I went into shift boot mode on the circuit and turned all of the colored lights at the bottom off except for the two blue ones all the way to the right. That let me just let the circuit send clock data to the TD-3 as a slave. That’s all I really wanted to do anyways is sync them up. I found the cord on Amazon.
