My truck has an inoperative fuel guage (sending unit issue, too lazy to remove fuel tank) so I rely greatly on the trip odometer to seek fuel before 300 km have been travelled. The select button on mine stopped wkg awhile ago so I was kinda forced to calculate the odometer readings; I had to make a trip to the wrecking yard for several items so I picked up a speedometer assy while I was there to swap into mine. Once I got it apart all that it was, is basically the same as yours the plastic tube that supports the push button had broken so it would no longer contact the switch on the small circuit board that is our speedo’s. I had removed the speedo needle because my original one I had painted orange years ago and applied a white faced sticker kit - I think I messed up when I pushed the needle onto the donor guage as it does not read speed now and when I perform the test which makes the needle swing full rotation mine does not go all the way to the pinned out position, I have since read somewhere that the speedo needs to be energized before pushing the needleback on so I now need to disassemble it yet again lol. Currently using my iphone and a gps app for speed so I don’t get a playground zone ticket.

I have a 97 f550 that came with 37 inch wheels. Manufacturer says they are 571 revelations per mile. My axle code is c5, which i believe is the 8.8.
771 correct? I cant find anything to help me with this

Perhaps the button is broken, or you have not grounded the plug on the passenger side
      I run mine at 972 calibration for 31 x 10.5. - 15 inch wheels which are reported to be 971 revs p/mile

Your video isn't too good. Half the time your voice is mumbled and your video is all over the place. Whatever happened to slow - plan- clear? What is that big strap your alligator clip is attached to?

What does it matter what the alligator clip is attached to? Do you supposed clipping it to a particular bracket is the answer? It is jumped to GROUND.
