- Bittersweet day on the water. We had a great time fishing for lingcod and rockfish. I'm very happy for my buddy Thuy but I'm kind of sad to see my Revo go at the same time.

You are so lucky in California. Here in the San Juan Islands our lingcod season is only May1 til June15 with a 26-36” size slot. The fish get hammered in that short season.

@@MooMooOutdoors Our lingcod season, 30 years ago, was May through November, with a 2-fish limit. Nearly wiped them out. Lings came back fairly quickly with the restrictive season and 1-fish possession limit. Rockfish were open year-around, and fished to near oblivion around the San Juan Islands. Fishing for them has been totally closed for years now, and we have to have a second rod rigged with a special release so rockfish can be lowered to the bottom and released, maybe surviving. It’s a. Kind of a pain. Too much pressure, not enough fish.

Moo how do you clean the slime from the fish inside the hatch of your kayak? That has got to be a pain to wash out after each successful trip.
You mean every single trip? hehe. I just rinse it off with a hose. You'll never really get the fish stink off of it LOL.

Why did you give away your Revo 13? Thinking about getting one.
I sold it because I wasn't using it much and I have an Adventure Island if I want to pedal. I just simply enjoy paddling too much. I still think Revo has the perfect combination of portability, stability and efficiency for the ocean as far as pedal drive kayak.
Some Rockin' Lings and tasty fillets.....It would be impossible for me to get rid of my 2 boats.....Way too many great memories!!
