    If anyone's gonna be charged, I'm pretty confident that the Armorer will be the one in hot water. She loaded the gun and was suspose to check, double check even triple check it and She was obviously careless and I think that the guy in the hat and black that was always by her side distracted her or something, they seem like a couple by the way he was following her around and comforting her. I just feel like she was distracted somehow, because it's a SIMPLE task that she had to do and for the time she had to make sure Alec had a cold gun, there should be no reason for that to have happened. I think she's not being 100% truthful and who sits in a police car like that, she really think she's special, after all....daddy got her the job, way to go dad! This is why these careers require a degree but in the film industry, I guess you just gotta know someone that's got a foot in the door....sad, totally preventable. Most People don't seem to Understand, Alec is an actor his job is to act. He was given a gun which was suppose to be unloaded by the armorer who was supposed to check the gun's condition beforehand. It's not Alec's job to check the gun. In conclusion, the armorer is responsible for that, It's her job to double check every weapon props used on set. What's worse she don't really seem to care judging from her reaction.

      @Catrik Před 2 lety +16

      it LITERALLY is everyones job to check the gun. Every single person who touches a gun, must check if it's in the condition that it's supposed to be (unloaded, or loaded with correct type ammo. Blanks or fakes, but almost never real ammo in filming). Trying to say anything else just means you do not understand even the most basic firearms safety.

And that's the reason why there are armorers, because these actors has higher probability if forgetting the sop's of handling a gun, or they could be complacent that the gun is safe because they have armorers. Anyway, the armorer is quite suspicious having 3 incidents of loaded gun during the set. I agree and said it from day one Alec should have shut up and not did one interview until the investigation was completely over.
    The remorse he has shown I don't think was for the loss, but for the fact he could have been in big trouble due to his and others negligence safety.
    As a producer he should be held accountable for her death and the lack of safety on that set.
    I pray her family sue the pants off him and the production. $136,000 is not enough for what happened which could have been avoided if they didn't ignore the first safety issues that happened a few before and the crew members walked off set.

      It's a little more complex than that though. The armorer was experienced, Alec himself said she is the daughter of a very famous armorer in the business who had done this job for decades and passed his experience down to his daughter. Alec also said for the last 2 weeks nothing had gone wrong. What I am saying is, costs weren't cut in the armorer department, it was at standard. As for Halayna's justice, I have no doubt in my mind Alec will do what he can to make sure her family get her dues. It's true that Alec should have held silent during the interview, but there's a couple of things to note: Alec is in shock, he's trying to make sense of what happened, he doesn't want anyone to think he is trying to protect himself because it makes him instantly look suspicious; and he's simply trying to be helpful. I know the system eats people like that for lunch, but for some people, integrity comes first.

    I don't think this was an accident based on Alec Baldwin's past behaviours. He went off on his daughter on the phone and he also once said "I wonder what it's like to accidentally kill someone". He's never shown any signs of remorse from this incident and he's more concerned about himself and blames others every chance he gets. Everyone else in this video is showing remorse except for him, it's almost like he's not bothered by it or that he already knew this was going to happen because it was premeditated. Everyone on set said they thoroughly checked the guns and for some convenient reason a real bullet only appears in the hands of the last person to hold the gun, who is Alec Baldwin. I personally believe that Alec Baldwin has always been very angry and I think that quote in the past was a clear sign of what goes on in his head. I think he knew he could get away with killing someone on set and play it out to be an "accident". He knew he could get away with it by blaming the other people on set for not checking the gun and everyone's too scared to tell the truth about Alec being the only person possible for putting it in there. The people on set would be too scared to get blacklisted from the industry or get taken to court by a rich celebrity. Alec snuck a bullet in there knowing he could blame it on them so he could finally learn what it's like to kill someone. He saw the perfect opportunity on a western set where guns are everywhere and knew how easy it was to call it an accident. Please let me know if anyone else agrees.

      I don't really agree on that. Maybe he's an angry person....maybe hes gone off at his family members and said some things in the past but thats not proof he intentionally would kill someone or did kill someone. The calmest person in the room has been guilty of murder so having an angry personality and saying shit in the past doesn't automatically mean hes guilty. He may not make him look great but doesnt mean hes not innocent.
      And, unfortunately, a similar incident like this has happened before with the tragic accident of Brendon lee where he was shot by a projictle lodged in a gun that wasn't checked correctly and was handed to a unsuspecting actor. The prop person was found responsible not the actor who fired the weapon.
      I dont see why an actor would produce a film and star it in only to intentionally shoot someone....to then have that production shut down so he can be investigated and it become public so he can what?...get away with murdering the cinematographer for...some reason...in front of witnesses.
      From what ive seen of his reaction...he seems very shaken and not happy at all. Take his reaction how you think but everyone reacts differently to death and nothing can prepare you for how you'll feel about. As far as him blaming others...seems more like hes acting lile it shouldn't of even happened tp begin with and in his time of dealing with firearms this has never happened to him. Youd be looking for answers and people responsible. Imagine if you were handed a gun as actor for a scene then you fired it thinking it wasn't a real gun it turns out it was and it hit someone....are you going to assume that it was your fault straight up or are you going to freak the fuck out and try to find out what happened.

      A report released by the state Occupational Health and Safety Bureau blasted "Rust" producers for "plain indifference" and noted they "willfully violated" known industry safety protocols in imposing a nearly $137,000 fine for firearms safety failures. During a hasty rehearsal last October, actor and producer Baldwin discharged a replica Colt that killed 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins and injured director Joel Souza.
      In particular, the report indicates that the young armorer on the set, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, was not given the chance to perform her job. Reed was not in the church on the Old West set when the gun was handed to Baldwin and then went off.
      "Rust did not provide staff responsible for ensuring firearms safety with sufficient time to inspect ammunition received to ensure that no live rounds were present," the report said.

Sarah the prop head accidentally fired a gun that day and Hannah freaked on her and brought it up to management and was told to not make a big deal it was accidental . I believe Hannah may have been set up by Sarah and Seth. Hannah said when she came to work the next day Sarah was already in the prop truck and Hannah noticed a box of dummy ammo on her tray that was not there when they left the night before she asked Sarah where it came from and got no answer they left the truck and Hannah loaded the gun put four dummy rounds and one from the dummy box and that was the one that was a live round, one chamber was empty because it needed cleaning which Hannah did when they came back from lunch. Ifthey can prove Hannah was shooting live rounds after work but still on set then we can point the finger on Hannah meaning she got the ammo mixed up. If they would have called Hannah when Alex came this wouldn’t of happened she would have checked the gun again and gave it to Alex. Halls should have known he can not give a gun to anybody yet he gave it to Alex. By the way Hannah was outside because of Covid protocols but did say when Alex comes to call her so blame goes to everyone Halls for passing the gun which he knows he should have called Hannah why didn’t he.nobody was supposed to shoot a gun at that rehearsal, so putting live rounds on her cart to get her fired knowing nobody would be shooting a gun ,when Hannah heard the shot she rushed in and saw what was going on and took possession of the gun until police arrived

    Everyone here blaming everyone but the person who fired the round. IDC how many times someone tells you a firearm is empty. You ALWAYS double check. Anyone who has ever properly handled a firearm knows this. You assume every firearm is loaded until double checked. NEVER take ANYONE'S word when you're dealing with other people's lives. It's 100% his fault. He should know better and should def get whatever is coming to him for being so careless. Yes, i know they're using blanks but you still HAVE to check.

    So why hasn't something from the DA's office been publicly said yet? This happened back in October of 2021! How long of investigation into this do they actually need?? And NOTICE PLAINLY that in the footage of him rehearsing, HIS FINGER IS ON THE TRIGGER.

    • @jasonthomas5793
      @jasonthomas5793 Před rokem

      I don't see why it would matter if he pulled the trigger or not....at the end of the day that gun should not have been loaded with a love round and he should not have been given that gun in the first place. Even if he says he didn't pull it.or doesnt remember, the safety perosn and props person are suppose to check this before handing over any prop weapon regardless so that nothing dangerous can occur.
      A similar incident like this unfortunately happened with Brendon lee on the set of the crow. The gun had a piece of shaprel lodged in the gun, unbekownst to the actor, and the actor pulled the trigger thinking it was a dummy round. He wasn't charged with anything. The prop guy who was incharge that day was charged.
