We're going to dig into this Serato update and one of the many features in Serato DJ Pro.
The sampler!
This is a serato sampler tutorial.
There are many ways to use the sampler as a DJ, and use sound effects djing,
Everyone knows the sampler, loves the sampler, but might now know how to use the sampler properly with Serato DJ Pro.
Don't be an annoying DJ who uses the sampler too might. If you are respectively hitting the sampler and horns too much your audience will get tired.
The sampler should be used as a flavour to your DJing.
I will show you how to use the sampler when DJing. And how to use the sampler as a DJ.

Besides sound effects, you can use it for loops as well, I like to keep a vocal loop going in the background with the volume down. Since it is synced you can turn up the volume and drop it in whenever you like. (Helps to have a midi controller you can map the volume to, like a midi fighter, etc.) Fun use is to sample the vocal hook of a real banger and then tease the crowd with it like 2 or 3 songs before you play it, then when you actually drop it they love it. Anyways that's why you might use the loop function. Nice video, thanks

I know a guy who loops his dj drops and syncs them up, so its always bouncing on grid

Is it possible to have Bank A play on the left side of the controller and Bank B play on the right side of the controller (so I could have 16 samples ready). It only lets me have one bank selected at once which means both sides of the controller play the same thing.

Hey! Not to sure what you mean by that?
You can definitely load video files to serato with any level of the program,
But you do need the serato video plugin to push video out to TVs,
I have heard MixEmergency is a better option tho if you want to do video mixing
I get no sound when playing effects on pads. You can see sample playing but no sound. Any suggestions???

As for DVS, what do you mean?
I don't actually have the DVS plugin, but I most definitely play vinyl and have an OG serato box, so I'm sure I can help you,
What exactly is the issue you're running into?
@@TheDJConnect It's hard to put into words, bro...but I'll try. At some point in the process one has to play a record on a turntable or cd on a CDJ (plugged into ch 3 or ch 4 of my Pioneer XDJ-XZ) and fiddle with the Serato settings in order to get a particular "circular" readout on the screen. In one video it tells you to keep the music volume level off and in another video it tells you keep the volume level at the level that one would regularly play at. This is the juncture where I usually get stumped.

And than connect your units to seperate channels.
I would assume you need a control tone record for the DVS's

I have a question about the sample option.
I recently just started to use Serato DJ pro and I enabled the option but I’m still not seeing the sampler option/ air horn symbol. Would I have to buy an expansion pack to enable it ? Or would I have to connect my DJ controller to use the samples because I’m temporarily using my laptop until i get my controller. Would you mind helping me and explain if I’m missing anything please. Thank you !

But you have to make sure the sampler sound is turned up in the software,
