I found one of these in a geocache and took it, but didn't dare plug it into a computer until just yesterday as I thought it might be one of those devices that kills whatever you plug it into. 😂
I'd be scared too lol, but you can identify USB killers by opening them up, they will have an array of capacitors.

I wonder if you can put the touch feature to the side? I have some ideas where i could permanent mount these, but the touch part would be blocked.
You can get ones without the touch, just power them with USB and they light up, however without the dimming function, they get quite warm, you can find these on aliexpress.
@@TechGuyCharliethink a USB dimmer would work? I have seen them for the LUMINOODLE lights.

One thing I don't like about these is the components are not protected. If you have one of these on a keyring it might get damaged. I had a memory RAM module on my keychain once and the chips kept falling off and ending up in the bottom of my pocket. I'd hot glue the chips of these if I were to add to a keyring.
Clear nail polish on the components is enough to protect the chip from liquid, the power source on the other hand is a different story.

Well, you can manually go to aliexpress and search for the usb light and order it from there, but if the transaction fails, it might be due to wrong card details or some issue with the bank. I just ordered something last night and aliexpress payments are working.
