Absolutely. I would think about what kind of PhD that you want to do after.
This video is geared towards those who are thinking about going to graduate school, and possibly become a professor.
The thing I want you to think about is what kind of a degree you want. Getting a PhD generally almost suggests that you are going to become a professor. If you want to go into industry, you should not even get a doctorate. It will be too costly for the return you are going to get.
If you want to teach in a business school, you should likely get a PhD in Business Administration.
If you want to teach economics, you should get a specialization in finance during your MBA, and then apply to economics programs.
Some people might want to get a MD or a PhD in Engineering after your MBA. This would be more common if you want to work in healthcare or go into science and technology.
What I suggest for you is to think about where you want to go in life. I would ask around, talk to people, and get feedback from professors in your area. You will learn a lot.

I love finance academic. Thats why i did fca. Mba to me is too general , like management , human resource, managerial finance( its a kind of close to accounting) ...however its not wrong to do mba. Not for me, because i prefer to focus on what i passion for, and cfa is deep rooted in finance. No other subjects in it. 100% concentration on a particular subject.infact no need Master after cfa.
