I’m still new and getting my head around fighting games. Is the strategy here to keep applying pressure with quick plus frame moves and hoping they mash to get your damage from counterhits?

Also why is down forward 1,1 into powercrush strong?

The idea is to use your fastest moves to limit what options the opponent can use, so that if they mash slower moves (a common strategy in early ranks) they just get counterhit. Df1,1 into powercrush works because people see that the string is over so they try to take their turn.

They main idea it to make ur opponent screw up so yes applying plus frames and pressure will do that and will get you to Yellow and Orange. For Red you’re gonna need to learn optimal combos, grab breaks, and punishment hits. Purple will be more timing, frame data, frame traps,and stage usage (maybe match ups that’s more blue rank imo) Blue Rank+ is just perfecting all of that ALSO LEARN GOOD OKI aka attacks that make ur opponent guess when they get up

idk if this is important, but alot of your strategy shows you throwing a ton of high moves. i feel like around red ranks people will start ducking those and im not sure you want to make those a habit. maybe throw an extra mid or two for the people. even if you (as a better player) would know its just gonna cost 13 frames
