They basically skipped right over the 1980s, which was the time period I spent down there. I was hoping to see some footage from my days there, but it's still a good video. I enjoyed it.

Know what you mean. I was there in the early and mid 70's. I loved it there.

My Grandfather was good friends with Jimmy Love and was the manager of the Buena Vista for years. And years. My mom actually rode out hurricane Camille at the hotel with the rest of the family because their house was right on the water on the back bay. My family’s roots on both sides go back to long before the civil war there. I moved away when I was 6 but still love going back to visit although things have changed so much! Thanks for the video

Nice video. I grew up in Gulfport, MS (before the area became a gambling mecca) and I despised it.... Now, I would give anything to go back and re-live that era, and I can't get enough of the history of this area and love it... Funny how things change over time...

I always lived south of New Orleans, but spent many weekends on the Gulf Coast, and still go. We call it Cajun Vegas.

Home of my ancestors, the Harkness and the Morris families. They were pioneers of Biloxi. I love this historical video. Thank you so much !

Video gets to Camille and leaves out everything since except for gambling and Katrina. Sad.

What an absolute disgrace to completely ignore the civil rights movement. Notice how the lady recounting the performers at her father's restaurant didnt name a single black performer, even though several were pictured? Not a mention of slavery or the wade-ins. You cant just ignore these things and pretend they didnt happen. Shame.
