I had my first “girlfriend” (obv it was very much puppy love) when i was 6 years old, and at that point i had already figured out i was a lesbian, although I didn’t know the term for it, and i have been crushing on girls since 🙃
PLENTY of gay people will tell you they knew they were gay by the time they finished elementary school, it’s very normal, it’s not necessary to hit puberty to figure it out
