The sad thing is, if you're just buying a box on your own, that you pretty much have to hit a card like that to have a prayer of breaking even.
There's nothing sad about anything you can afford. This is Big Dawgs stuff.
But thats if youre looking to break even that same day. If you pull the next steph curry 1/1 and hold it for 15 years it could easily be a 100k card and thats the beauty of a big product. Hard to make your money back the same day let alone break even but if you can hold and tbat player is a 4 time champion you never know what that value can go to
@@b.ballin1187 well yeah, but the odds of pulling one of the few dozen cards in the entire set that are worth that much isn't great. At this point it's playing the lottery just in card form.
That was much easier to do when this stuff was $2K, not $10K
@@3piecespicycards930 It's insane the amount their charging, for cards that look virtually identical to the previous several years worth of cards. Not to mention so many vets that are seemingly in every single set. Like Gary Payton. there are tons of "high end" auto cards out there for under a hundred bucks. But pulling one out of a $10k box has to hurt
