#saltwaterfishing #fishing #snook - Zábava
Not speaking for everyone, just me, a single viewer, stick with what is working for you. I've seen many creators get bored with their product and "progress" themselves out of their foundation. That's not to say one can't refine their own art but do not depart from it. I'm sure it gets boring from the production stand point but trust me, I'm not bored with your efforts. I do appreciate them.
Caught my pb snook yesterday 38” thanks for all the videos they really helped with my techniques
Hey man! If you like the Gheenoe I would check out the LT25. They are a bit wider and definitely more stable. It’s a perfect 2 person skiff and an ever better one person rig. It’s mall enough to run through docks but also stable enough to run in some decent water. I personally own a maverick HPX-V 17 and it does everything I want it to when it comes to open water as well as backwater poling and skinny floating. I’m over on the west coast is Florida in the Marco island/Naples area and do a lot of fishing in the 10,000 islands and the Everglades. If you’re ever interested I’d love to take you out and show you around the west coast waterways. I’ve seen almost all of your videos and our fishing style is very similar. Right now the fishing has been rough but the big tarpon will be moving into some of our canal systems here in late March at night. Our snook bite has definitely slowed down in the winter but our trout fishing definitely picks up this time of year. If your ever interested feel free to reach out. I’ve always been interested in starting my own channel but not really sure where to start. Some advice would always be welcomed. Great video like always and looking forward for more. Tight lines Justin!
I have a 16'6" Skimmer Skiff and absolutely love it. With a 50hp it gets around pretty quick and is still really good on fuel. The owner, Bobby, gives about the best customer service I have ever experienced and they are excellent quality boats for the price. Best of luck in 2024 man and keep the great content coming!
Congrats on your accomplishments with the channel! I'm a big fan of the Gheenoe! I personally would add a boat that would give me more range and versatility for the channel, but I would definitely keep the Gheenoe, customize the mess out of it, and document the journey 😎.
First of all, congrats on all your accomplishments in 23, not just fishing but your marriage as well!! your videos are amazing as you educate and entertain at the same time. as far as boats are concerned, the Tarpon they loaned you was super nice, so anything along those lines would be cool!! good luck with your decision. take your time. talk to your wife!! looking forward to an incredible year of fishing!!!
The way to a woman’s heart is fresh tripletail 😍 so proud of what you did this past year and can’t wait for what 2024 has in store!
I wish everyone a blessed 2024. Keep up the great work Justin!
any kind of skiff or bay boat would be awesome. with that you could do all sorts of different content, not just your usual and you can grow your channel into new things. love the videos, i’ve learned so much from you. good luck this 2024 and any decision you make is a great one
Brother let's go twenty twenty four.... We gotta hit that 50 inch snook and 50 inch red LO. L.... And a new ride can never hurt. You definitely earned it with all the hard work...... Let's start this new year with a bang.... Or a drag screaming whatever comes first LO. L.
Congratulations on a successful 2023! I feel like the gheenoe is a must for the channel. But a bay boat could really let you explore new content. We will be watching!
Always putting out awesome content. We fish very similar and that’s why I watch. Sight fishing is king for me and I know you do it a lot. Hope to see more of it in the future. Tight lines man.
I would love to see you able to fish deeper and maybe do some close offshore fishing with a larger boat. Keep rollin brotha
I know your channel has to grow and change, but I'm here because of the gheenoe. I think you should show us the work you do on the gheenoe. Whatever you get to replace it should be budget friendly like the gheenoe. Please keep that spirit alive. Thanks.
Can you consider coming to Tampa bay and doing a colab with See Ya Dude
Please!
Seriously this would be a crazy collab
Awesome year! Me and my family loved watching your videos. We will but very sad to see the Gheenoe go because you inspired me to get one and I love it. I hope you get another one!
What a year for you, congrats on all the success!!
I'd say get a 14'6 skiff with like a 30 or 40hp with a poling and casting platform. Bay Craft makes one I've been looking at called bone skiff 162, it's a 16'6" can get it brand new with a Suzuki 60hp for around 31k. More if you get added options, that 31k is trailer included. Check them out I'd be interested to hear what you think about them.
It doesn’t matter what you do brother I’ve been rocking with you for the past three years. I’m gonna continue to rock with you as long as you drop Content happy new year tight lines, brother.
I would keep the gheenoe for sure. I had a 68 Boston Whaler, center console, with a 2008 Mercury 60. Could run shallow and it was quick and fuel efficient.
Would love to see some more kayak/sup fishing.
I just moved down to Tampa Bay Area glad to see people are still catching in fl!
Beautiful fish❤
Nice tripletail...more like a double-and-a-half tail! Thoroughly enjoyed your videos in 2023 and looking forward to more great stuff in '24!
If you are in calm waters the LT25 is a real nice boat. I’m in Stuart where it seems to always be windy and choppy and there is lots of boat traffic (wakes) so I had to get something with more of a V bottom.
Break into kayaks. I love you as an inshore angler. I love the SUP content. I love the skiffs. I love the ghenue. I think adding a yak and a skiff to the pier makes sense!
Kayak fishing Justin! At least maybe once in a while! You’d have a blast! It’s a challenge, it’s difficult but different! There’s nothing funner than hooking a solid 40” red or snook on a kayak! Now that’s a battle in a half!
Gheenoe has been great but something new is good. I’d say get a quick flats boat like a hewes, or a maverick
Happy New Year and wishing you all the best in 2024, Justin. I think folks will watch your vids regardless b/c you're that good, but personally I love the Gheenoe and you fishing from it distinguishes your channel. Also love the paddleboard. Boat fishing is meh 😂
Definitely know I can like this video before evening watching!!
Gheenoe LT10 with a raised deck would be a perfect upgrade, same size as the HS but a few more features and customizable options that will be perfect your type of fishing..
Nice fishing buddy. Try to get a flats boat or a skiff maybe a skinny skiff if you want something smaller. Blessings.
Love the vids man
In answer to your question about Sheepshead migration: they typically go offshore to spawn around March. That can vary by a few weeks to a month or so depending on region but the main reason they tend to be easiest to catch in the Winter if because they typically don’t eat while they’re offshore spawning. The tend to spend the late Fall and Winter gorging themselves to put on as much weight as possible to sustain themselves for that early Spring spawn.
Hope that helps. Great video by the way!
Living in Louisiana I’ve heard a humorous Cajun saying: “If it ain’t fixed, don’t broke it!”
Seriously though, in my eyes you’re the gheenoe guy so don’t mess with that too much.
Justin, from my experience, the big sheepshead tend to head to the jetties, and offshore in Winter. I always catch all my big sheepshead, 3 pounds and up, in the Summmer. I fish similar areas like you are fishing
With your channel you have a significant presence and sizable impact on the Florida fishing community. I would suggest you consider buying quality used boat and customize it to your specifications. You could film your process and explain your reasoning behind each modification.
South dade skiff🙌🏻 love mine up here in NC
best options are dolphin 16 super skiff, maverick hpx carbon kevlar 17, maverick mirage, bt strike, hells bay marathon. those are tried and true winners no matter what. and most of those can be found used for decent prices. these are. oats that do a little bit of everything. u can draft in 7/8 inches of water, pole easily, and know ur gonna get home safe if shit hits the fan. super skiff 16 overall is always gonna be my first choice and is. boat has been around forever and is the true legend of key west. even use them in cuba and Bahamas for guiding. I own one personally and I get shallow as hell still and can cross water in 20mph winds. second best or just as good is the maverick hpx 17. for a little bit more shallow water boats that can reach the 5/6 inch draft would be a whip ray, the strike as mentioned above, bt micro, spear glades skiff, and east cape caiman. all these boats I mentioned I have personal experience with them so they aren't just things I'm saying to say lol.
Beaver tail skiff
Here ya go
I have a Salt Marsh Heron 16. They are made in Fort Pierce so it's local. We live in the same area and I really like it for our area.
I like the idea of a skiff because you're so close to bonefish territory. But a 20 ft bay boat with a tower would be cool for sighting some fish.
You should come try out the upper Laguna and Baffin Bay here in Texas great fishing here
Nice !
nice triple tail brother. makes me want to check some crab traps next time im out.
Bro I’m ready go fishing man I’m here in coco 🙏🏼 whatever you get kno it was meant for it be that one bro amen happy new year
I have a 16’ 6” Skimmer Skiff. Been great. Could damn near float it in a puddle
A gheenoe lt25 would be an awesome choice. Still gives the gheenoey feel but much larger, comes with a center console, live well, and much more.
Sold my lt25. Not sea worthy 😢 especially with a foot ball size player on board. Go bigger.
Super 16 at least!!!
I would like to see you in a boat you can do everything in. Is there a ninja boat that does it all? What can you make the most content in I completely support. You are awesome!
For the areas you fish a gheenoe lt25 would be a nice upgrade. Or if you want to spend the money a skiff or bayboat could be cool.
I got a highsider because of you mostly. Hope you still make gheenoe vids in the future! My recommendation get a super 18 gheenoe set up like key west waterman has. He has the sweetest gheenoe I’ve ever seen.
you need the same boat tug boat trash has the little skiff with the tiller but throw a casting platform and ipilot
Let’s go new video
I am looking to buy a used boat as well. Ankona, Skimmer Skiff, Dragonfly and Hewes are on the top of my list.
You NEED a Skimmer Skiff, they make them 14' 6" and 16' 6". I feel like the 14 would be right up your alley!
Take a look at the Beavertail Mosquito - BT might be up for a partnership (they used to work with Blair Wiggins) and if you not you find the mosquito gently used for a decent price.
East cape Evo, no doubt about it
Beavertail micro in a tiller setup would be sick
Come fish with me on the west coast sometime!
If your ready to step up in the world then the Drake Nomad, that’s all that needs to be said.
Get a mini poling skif that drafts really shallow
I'd partner with Tarpon again that was a very nice boat.
Add a Kayak to the fleet. Give us kayak anglers some love 😁
goal for 2024 cut the talking down by a lot. Love your videos dude keep crushing it!!!
get a towee skiff it's like a nicer gheenoe. or a black duck skiff
Hey I was wondering what your go pro you used and what mound you use
What part of Florida do you fishing?
Your videos are really great so keep going man!😁😁
I have a beavertail vengeance, and it’s an awesome skiff. The CZcamsr from rhino diaries has my same boat and he uses it as a charter boat.
I need to find me a river triple tail!!!
You should get a LT25 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Congrats on getting married bro!! Best decision I ever did make
They go on the off shore side of the beaches during winter
Got the same stick it i wanna see you run and gun see if you can get a hewes 18 foot or action craft same size be able to make big runs cover more water and stay dryer then the gheenue
What kind of cameras do you use ?
What is the setup u used? The one with the 5500 penn, i just want to know the rod.
What happened to the tarpon boat works skiffs you were trying out?
What sunglass do you wear. I noticed there brown lens vs polarized
live watersports iykyk
I hope you get a LT 25
The Gheenoe is why I watch the channel
I would get the new mako skiff bass pro has them
When you keep triple tails and sleepiest do you bleed them or just throw them in your cooler?
Mano or micro skiff wowould be great
You should make a fl key’s series
Get a skimmer skiff 14’6 or 16 foot
Stick with the gheenoe bro just get the lt25 or the super 18👀
Love the Channel! Been watching since 2018. Look at Spear Boat works. Good boats for a good price
If you’re ever in the big bend aka Tallahassee hit me up.
A solo skiff would be fitting. Don’t go too big,but big enough that you could have options.
That’s going backwards.
@@moblack5883 not necessarily. Could get to more places then a gheenoe. BUT, if he chooses to keep the gheenoe he could get a boat big enough to go offshore.
@@jaceunderwood7942 an offshore boat would open him up to different species for his channel. I'm betting he will get a nice shallow water boat since he is wanting to travel more.
Keep the Gheenoe get a lt25 better on the waves
If youre getting a new boat, maybe an Ankona, theyre affordable. Look for something that keeps you as dry as possible, the lagoon gets choppy.
edit... or if youre going baller status, Maverick, Hells Bay, East Cape, Beaver Tail, etc.
I have a small 13 foot flats boat and fish outta Sunrise, hit me up if you wanna fish sometime and see how you like the flats life!
Are you on the Indian River?
Get a Floyd Skiff
Lt25 for sure
also, for a new boat. How about just a BIGGER, Ganoe, more hp.
How about more paddle board videos? If you want to get something new, maybe a 1 or 2 person skiff?
Likes going up fast I was the first!!
Get a falling apart whipray 🤣
a Simple Skiff would be cool too
Wonderful , Videos. Keep it going. Do we get to meet your Bride. Maybe at the filet table. Thanks
Narrow channels and 5-6 foot water. We caught some 16” + sheep. Check us out. Nice fishing as always. If you ever come to pine island area lmk
Who wants to catch 16 inch sheep 🐑?
Haha. Sheepshead
