5 years ago I tried sharing how I make one of these 12ga steel faces, I did it with a pretty basic slide show. Its only 7 minutes long and does describe the process:
• Forging and Chasing a ...
I always wished I had filmed more of the raising process as it's one of the most important steps.
It relies on mixing hot work over shaping stakes, slow anneals, and cold work working from both sides of the sheet.
So when I had the chance to make a new version of this steel face style I made sure to film as much as the process as I thought was reasonable.
If you follow me on IG then this project might look familiar but those tiny snips and clips won't give the keen observer nearly enough information.
So here is the full length version, I did cut it down to under an hour while leaving in as much as I could to show the full process.
No annoying jumpcuts, no music droning over everything, just heat, beat, and more work! I love it!
Just unbelievable how the flat piece of metal turned into a masterpiece before your eyes.
Phenomenal work sir!

Wow. What an artist. I'm amazed by your talent. Thanks so very much for sharing you talent with the world. Amazing. You got a sub from me.
Unbelievable!
Hey bud, I love your channel and videos, very good content, very informative , so thank YOU!
also I'm kinda wondering, what are you using to curl your moustache and keep it so well? been considering curling mine for a while now lol
Just came across your channel. Great work and content. Honest suggestions in my opinion would be to cut up the video into parts as the work is great and I think it would build anticipation to see final product. I would also flip your camera to landscape mode as well. Just suggestions and wish you great success in the growth of your channel and your work.
isn't this already in landscape mode? sorry just confused.
Wow, you’re good at that! Just curious, how many times have you hit your thumb?
Never
this is so soothing just to keep on for background noise TBH
Absolutely stunning metal art work and repousee!! Nice job!! What is the grey material you used to be formed into the back of art for support?? A type of machinists wax? I'm not familiar with the total process with steel. . Many years ago my mother did this using copper and she backed her work with a type of fairly rigid clay. I did some of this type of art in school in both Copper and Aluminum. We used clay too. Keeping the metal annealed properly was the key to success! Ohterwise metal failure and fatigue was a problem. A lot of fun, requiring a lot of patience!!
Wow...........Incredible talent. Was that a face of Sir Francis Bacon?
I need 50 of them! lol!
Super!!!!!
👍👍👍👍👍👍
