@@jarrodmiller8881 They are called Tower Climbers. Many get paid according to how many feet in the air they must climb. Up to a certain height there is usually an elevator to take you up. Then you must get out and climb the rest of the way. If you are interested, you need to try climbing a smaller tower first. Maybe a tower that an amateur radio operator has. It looks simple from the ground, but many people have problems if they actually do it. And some do it for years but suddenly have an experience that causes them to be unable to do it again. That was the case with my friend. It pays pretty well, but takes a special person to do it. And technical knowledge in electronics is needed. Many times there are repairs to antennas needed. The abundance of cell towers makes this a job in demand.

Major props to this guy for having balls of steel. I personally do not feel comfortable putting my pelican hooks on the pegs. In this situation, I would wrap an endless sling around the tower, and clip off to that. Then I would shimmy the sling up the tower around the pegs as I go. That way, in a fall, the sling would catch on the pegs, hopefully. Ideally, there should be a cable climb up there, or at least some engineered eyehooks to clip your pelicans through. I wonder what the architect of this tower was thinking in not installing adequate safety measures for the climber. 🤔
