Hi Simon, would love to potentially see a video where you talk about tax returns etc as an ebay reseller. What proofs you keep for expenses, what count as expenses etc and anything else you do or what if anything has changed since you became ltd? Love the channel
Thank you so much for the kind words, as much as au like the idea of help on tax etc I am definitely not the best on this aspect. I do have an accountant who deals with that part of the business, thank you for watching Simon
Happy New Year, Simon. Was wondering how/if you track your mileage and if you could share how you do that, please? (Something I need to start doing this year!) All the best for 2024 (good job on the fence 😉)
Thanks again for the comment, a very happy new year and thanks for the support as always🙏 Mileage I track using Quikbooks which auto starts when I’m driving. That being said my account just asked me to tell him how many miles I do. Hole that helps Simon
Some nice pick ups today Simon I would not worry on the trainers your money is safe just not a lot of profit We are all on the same learning curb We have to pay to learn our game Some we win some we lose Thanks again as usual Clifford
Hi Simon, Exceptional video, as always 👌 I saw a clip previously where you mentioned that you wanted to make a video talking about brands. Is this video something you are still looking to produce? It would be amazing to see a video of what the best-selling brands you recommend to look out for and the ones that should be avoided, as well as designer gems. Have a great weekend, and get well soon 👍
Thank you for such kind words, a great idea for a video, I am in the process of planning a series of how to videos, I’m hoping to get them released soon, hope you have a great week. Simon
We have had covid over new year, 1k worth of damaged fences from the storms, my parents house sale has fallen through for the second time..sad times at the mo.
Hi, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, aim so sorry to hear you are having it tough at present. Let’s hope life brings some more positive vibes very soon. Hope you have a great weekend Simon
Hi Simon, Still really enjoying the videos - What time do you tend to do your listings? you say drafts go live in the morning but when do you actually create those drafts? Thanks
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, I go live at 6.30 am but have a draft bank which has been built up over the previous few days. Hope that makes sense Simon
Morning Simon, just Discovered your channel, enjoying your videos and learning a bit along the way, I need to up my game packing and went looking for some over sized Meyer Chinos but didn't find any. 😄. Couple of genuine questions of that's okay. What do you use to wrap and seal your clothing and do you have problems with damp in your lock ups with no heat or insulation? Keep up the good work. 👍
Thank you so much for the kind words, I am pleased to hear you are enjoying the content. I use clear bags from eBay, there are food safe bags and I seal them with a custom label, I have stored the clothes in the same garage for 2 years and had no issue with contamination before. Keep up the good work and hope you have a great weekend Simon
Hi Simon, great video as usual and i just had the same experience with my fence. How do you know what things will sell for when you are sourcing or do you check while in the shops?
Hi thanks for watching and talking the time to comment, sorry to hear about your fence it is annoying, hope you get it sorted better than mine 😂, I try and do a little of research before I go out shopping so try not to look stuff up in the shop. ( I still do occasionally) I’m planning on doing a tutorial video on all my processes in the future. Have a great weekend Simon
@@thegentlemanmarketeer I will be waiting for that video eagerly. I have started moving into clothing on ebay and just finding my feet. You videos are very helpful, keep up the great content.
Hi Simon. Loving the content! Quick question: could you tell more about the mentoring group you are in? How many people are there? Is it paid? How much does it cost? Is it just for resellers? Thanks!
Hi, thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment, yes more than happy to talk about the mentor group I am in. It is a Facebook/ CZcams group called Reseller Greatness, it is run by a guy called TechN Sports, he has been the number 1 men’s clothing seller worldwide. He is based in the USA . There are about 4000 people in the group most is other countries but there arr a few hundred in the UK. There is a weekly zoom meeting for UK members, it costs about £30 per month but there is so much support it is crazy. Check out some free CZcams videos from Technsports, Thanks for your time Simon
Thanks for the kind words, I do appreciate it. Yes I’m on the Flate rate of interest scheme so year 1 I pay 6.5% VAT on my turnover then 7.5% the year after. Hope you have a great rest of the week Simon
Hi mate just discovered your channel, great video. I have recently been getting into reselling. and I'm wondering for tax purposes, how do you prove the cost of goods when you buy from marketplace or car boot sales? Would really help me out, cheers buddy
Hi thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment, when it comes to Facebook, boot sales where you purchase for cash, I think the best option is to get a duplicate book and jot down how much you spent, this should be good enough for the tax man, maybe also withdraw cash from a cash machine and keep the receipt. Hope you have a great day, have a great week, Simon
2 questions, how long would you say it took you to leave the 9-5 and go full time? And what size clear bags do you use to keep clothing in please. Thank you
Hi, thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. The bags I use are 12X 15 clear food safe and I get them from EBay. I had my eBay running along my full time job for about a year before I went full time re selling. I do still have a part time job I work at the weekend. Hope that’s helps Kind regards Simon
@@thegentlemanmarketeer thanks for the reply, that’s amazing! I find my clothes to be quite slow moving on eBay, do you have any tips? Thank you for all your help
Hi Simon, thanks for another great video. I was wondering we need to expand ive been looking at an office for £675 a month, i would get a garage but im worried about mould, do you have any issues with it whilst storing your items. Would obviously be much cheaper than an office space. Thank you.
Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and comment, what an exciting position, sounds lovely keep the business is growing nicely. My honest opinion is I would love a dedicated office and storage area but I do think the cost is so expensive. I have 2 single garages one which is the main storage I have been in for 2 years. Never had any issues with damp. The second is not as good as the roof isn’t great. If you can hold off and get a garage I would. £600 foot n stock per month could be HUGE. Keep me updated on your journey Simon
@@thegentlemanmarketeer thanks for replying, I will certainly keep an eye out. Your right it's a lot of money, but breaking it down just another 2'sales needed per day to pay for it. Something to think about. I do watch all your videos. Really enjoy them. And thank you for taking time to reply.
@@KellyBruwer have you thought of a shipping container much cheaper find one that’s been sprayed inside and is quite new so no condensation I don’t have any problems with my clothing stock in mine plus a lot cheaper depending were you are in the country £160 a month for a 20ft x 8ft
