A classic video that helped me tremendously maybe the most of all of yours
thank you my friend for your life long advise and incredible insight
I truly believe when DNA gets to level we can't comprehend you will be like a throwback genome from the past I know that seems out there but you most certainly have an extremely in-depth perspective that shouldn't even exist in a single knapper your like a text book everything that matters in knapping
how you can be so many different knappers doing so many different things in a single lifetime how is that possible it's not of this world. Are you from outer space or a time traveler lol
You really help fill the missing gap archeology doesn't satisfy
I listening to you have your way with a glassy but tough rock it helps me sleep I listen to a number of your videos at night on CZcams premium as I fall asleep hoping some how I can get some feedback from the beautiful sound of the crispy crack of the flakes releasing so I can learn while Im sleeping
You should absolutely put out some meditation sleep help videos they would kick ass I mean there is nothing like hearing some one spall out a raw tough but glassy bolder but maybe that's just me

I read about it last week and soaked a whitetail tine in vinegar for a couple days and today i pulled it out and it was pretty flexible. I put it in a vice and straightened it out, it's drying in there now. I'll try it out on a couple days, I hope it returnes to its original hardness, it will make the smaller crooked tines more useful for knapping

Worried that the vinegar might break down some of the oils in the antler making it brittle or chalky? Let me know how it works please

Seems dry so I just took it out of the vice and notched a few flakes, I can't tell any difference in it and one that wasn't in vinegar right now and it remained straight. Im going to leave it out in the sun for a few days to see what it does.

I am just starting out. Just have large and small copper bopper and copper nail type pressure flaker. Trying to learn best position for ischi stick, haven’t found one yet! I’m doing pretty well, I was wondering if you would recommend just a couple of tools that might help me move forward. Don’t know where to attempt to get antlers, but would love to try. I have plenty of rock here that I could use for a hammer stone! Thank you so much.

I’d get on eBay or another site and buy a couple deer antlers and maybe a moose billet or elk for a larger billet. You can use tines and make a simple wooden ishi stick yourself but my drilling a seasoned branch. A little flex helps.
