Yep, I was thinkin' the same. Joseph is kinda hard to classify 'cause yes, he quit, but also Ramsay told him he ruined his chance and to get out when they were face to face. That qualifies as an automatic ejection as well.

Every black jacket contestant gets this montage. The only exception is the extremely rare black jacket automatic ejection in which Josh in season 3 received.

man i feel for Joy, the stress and the confusion, the anxiety and the pressure, its not just the situation, its the cameras, and the competition, and the celebrities, and then Gordon. he doesn't let up and its understandable why but we shouldn't be so harsh and quick to judge those that break. it was a simple misunderstanding and her emotions and her anxiety got the best of her, it really sucks watching that scene.

You can tell Gordon saw potential in joy when he chased after her. He would never ever do that or have his team talk to her if he didn't believe. She should of came back. She might of won
i doubt she would of won, its a competition after all and if someone is going it would of been her, everyone else finished no one else had major issues that service, she had issues from the start and then just imploded, she should of gone back because i honestly believe Gordon would of given her some great advice and he would of helped her remove the doubt in herself that is stopping her getting to the next level, its a shame she had these issues because i think if she had kept performing she could of been top two easily

It’s a shame that Joy left, she absolutely was talented and it showed. Throughout the season, you could see that she struggled with communication, pressure, and criticism. This wasn’t the first time that her emotions got the best of her, but it was definitely the worst.
To anyone who are injured during the competition, they didn’t walk out. They were force to leave due to that condition issue.

I don't think she would have beaten Jason or Scott. Scott was extremely creative and exhibited nearly flawless leadership on the pass. He struggled in the beginning, but he made a massive improvement.

Joy saying "when I'm in the kitchen and I'm not happy anymore" shows why she made the choice to leave and she probably made it before that service.
The ultimate goal is to win a position working for Gordon with everything that entails. The money and sunk cost would have left her trapped in a job that made her miserable, and that wasn't why she got into a culinary career in the first place.
It was the right decision for her.
Joy 100% could've won, seriously, and just out of the blue, no hint or anything, she just had a meltdown and threw herself out. It's honestly the single most person leaving/elimination on the show to date

This is real life and in real life there are many endings. While some people clearly knows you should never give up they just literally can't do it. Some people have limits they can't physically pass. Some people no will power, some people do, and some people do have it but not enough.
Well if she had a melt down, then that also speaks of her as a chef. None of the other chefs had a meltdown, means she wasn't cut out for it

I really like how Jeff quit. He tried. Failed. And when the snitch got on his back, he stood strong in front of Ramsey, and insulted him to his face. Stupid decision, but at least he showed some backbone in a show that basically exists to measure how much verbal abuse people can take.

Jackie only got voted coz she was annoying to her team mates but otherwise she was a strong cook despite some of her careless mistakes. She can cook meat, no doubt about it.
Jackie is one of the few villains I really like (except the ashtray incident). She can be a beast on the line and very funny sometimes. Her problem was that she did not know when to stop laughing and get serious.

Fun story: I watch Hell's Kitchen with my friend and we would place bets on who gets eliminated on each episodes. I like that when Dani walked out one of the other contestants brought up the fact that its Ariel on the line too if the service goes poorly, very rarely do contestants think of each other

Heather from season 2 almost broke down because she felt so bad that Larry had to go home because of his body not his cooking skills
Larry had no cooking skills, he bombed on challenges and dinner services. He used a medical excuse for leaving. He was was fine a few hours prior, drinking and whooping it up in the hot tub. He obviously thought that's what Hells Kitchen was all about, fun, fun, fun. When he found out it was alot of hard work he had to find a good excuse to leave and not look like a quitter, hence the feigned illness.
