I have a live 2 and have done work on the mpc X. I think the live 2 is the best overall and once you learn the shortcuts you can access anything just as fast as the X. But with that being said you cant go wrong either way it just depends on if you want to be portable or not, one more thing i will say if you're purely standalone and work with alot of external gear the X is better suited for that but that still can be done with the live 2 you just need a mixer or something to add more I/Os
Bro, When I first opened the box, I was like this is overkill. I asked myself, is this GAS. Then, I said I will make it the centerpiece of everything. My intention is too get another mixer and Clarrett to start recording my drums and Piano. Sonically, I love to sample through the SP404. Really, I am about finishing the tracks too. These VSTs are a plus. Thanks for the comment bro.

Thanks for watching and commentin. Bro, I was going all crazy last year when the X SE came out. I wanted it so bad. Finally got my hands on it. You will like the SE. Also, everything is at your fingertips. There is not a lot of menu diving. Also, when you start your Beat Stars page, you may not get a lot of attention at first. I have been watching a lot of the Beat Stars pros and they are saying their pages did not take off until a year later or until they got serious and consistent.
I still feel like the 16 OLED q links makes the MPC X the king of all in one workstation/samplers, PERIOD. If you were to buy a controller with just the 16 OLED knobs, it would be over a grand or more I'm sure. Not to mention, it doesn't even exist! The industry totally dropped the ball on the need and want of custom labeled knobs! Only other thing even close is Native's Kontroller, And Maschine via the LCD screens. The X looks like such a beast. It's hard to make the jump from a $1300 live up to a 2500 X Se. However, I really need an all in one right now. I have zero room for a studio in my temp living situation. Plus, the added value to MPC X will be a great hub to my full studio once I get back into my own home down the road. Great video. We needed a solid comparison. Think you really could go either way based on your review, but personally, the extra money on the X is almost a no brainer if you want an investment into the best of the best.
I like some of the points you brought up. It is hard to go from 1300 to 2500. That is a lot of money. If it was not for sounds and me working extra jobs, I would not be able to get it. I know it would take my channel and production flexibility to the next level. The qlinks are fire. Also, not having to menu dive so much is a plus also. I like using it as a controller for the software as well.

I have the live 2, which i think is the best MPC ever.. the X is cool. it's just unnecessary for my taste, plus it's too big to move around
I know what you mean. I do like the portability of the Live 2. It is sleak and once you learn it. It is a beast. The X SE is lile icing on the cake. You feel like all the people that got their hands on the 3000, 300le, the 4000, or 5000. It is a differnt feeling but I agree with you.
If you're in a studio as most producers are then moving your equipment around isn't necessary. Both units have pros and cons. The X obviously has more ins and outs, extra qlinks, and a bigger screen. I have both and use the live 2 a little more just because I can bring it with me but if I'm not going anywhere I'll use the X

I like it! Thank you. Quick question: I know you didn't speak on the MPC One +, but maybe you can answer this question for me. With the MPC One +, do you still have to use the touch screen, or does it have enough dedicated buttons where you don't have to use the touch screen. Thank you kindly.
I think the One + and the One Are baby MPC Xs. That is because you have touch screen functions, dedicated functions, and some minimal menu diving .
Internet connection on my live 2 is iffy I’ll put the right password in and the it says it’s not right
I experience that as well. I broke the ethernet cable on the Live 2. There is a better connection when you are updating. My bluetooth acts a little funny as well on the MPC Live 2. Place it close to your router. You may get a better connection.

What's up bro. It is the Numark Mixstream Pro Go. It used the Engine Dj Technolgy where you can conncect Beat Port, Soundcloud, Tidal. You can connect it to serato as well.
