- In today’s vlog we head to Disney’s Boardwalk to have dinner with friends at Trattoria al Forno, I don’t think we’ve ever been here. We tried a little bit of everything, lots of appetizers, entrees and a limited time dessert too! We really enjoyed everything we had and we’ll definitely be back again! Then we continued the vlog with a trip to the very last day of IAAPA, the international association of amusement parks and attractions, which is an expo that we look forward to every year! We already went once this year but we didn’t get to see everything so we had to go back for one more trip. We had a lot of fun at the expo and we hope this will help you plan your trip next year! My friend worked at Trattoria al Forno as a hostess during her DCP run. I think she liked it, but honestly all I can remember are the celebrity run-in stories she would tell. Like how she got big-timed by Robert Irvine after she told him he'd have to wait a few mins for a table (on a busy holiday weekend). And that John Stamos was an uncomfortable flirt.
my cousin has worked at disneyland for a decade and has all kinds of celebrity stories and has definitely mentioned stamos many times! she said he is handsy and makes suggestive comments to the girls. i was so upset to hear about it because I had such a big crush on him growing up :(

Currently at Disney and talk about your suggestions all day. My partner now says “did Tim tell you that?” When I tell him a tip. Hoping to see you at some point, that would be a magical moment for sure haha!

We LOVED The Boardwalk and Trattoria Al Forno last year! The gluten free options are safe for celiacs like me and DELICIOUS. I'm dreaming of that caprese salad and chicken parm now... Thank you for bringing back those memories with this video!

We spontaneously ate at Trattoria Al Forno for breakfast in July! Best spontaneous decision ever! The ambiance, the music & the FOOD was so INCREDIBLE!!!!! 10/10 recommend!

Love going to al Fornos for a wonderful breakfast and then walk to the back entrance of Epcot! The breakfast pizza is awesome and enough for two people to share.
one of my fav Disney magical moments happened at the boardwalk - we were supposed to have a family stay (me, mom, dad) at the boardwalk, but my dad was injured a few days before and was unable to make it. When we told boardwalk concierge about the situation, they upgraded our room and we got to stay in one right above the bakery looking out onto the boardwalk! The view was incredible, the room was HUGE (full kitchen, two bathrooms, washer and dryer, etc). 100% the best Disney stay of my life

We stayed at pop in August and we were so close to the skyliner. We loved it! So quick to Hollywood studios and Epcot. No waits. We were sad to have to take the bus to the other parks! Lol

First of al - happy belated birthday to Big Buddy Jackson! I didn't get online yesterday in time to wish it to him then. And - he always looks adorable, but yes, he looks even more so (and grown up, you're right, Jenn!) in that outfit! :) I've never tried the Sky Liner either, but would love to - I used to love the Sky Buckets in the Magic Kingdom, and have never been able to do the Characters in Flight either, due to weather, but want to also!! I'd be right with Jackson on the Sky Liner, looking around all over, in joyous, delightful wonder.
I'm with you, Jenn - friends have teased me for years that I always look online for a menu before I go somewhere, and at least have an idea what I might want. Helpful, ESPECIALLY if they have a HUGE menu!! Never been to Trattoria al Forno, but I miss Spoodles, Cat Cora's restaurant that used to be there - most especially for breakfast I LOVE olives, so would love a side of them! Jackson's Mickey pizza is SO cute!
Boardwalk is great to walk around/hang out and people watch, and beautiful at the holidays, but when I stayed there, I grew tired of the tons of 20-something's I kept running into on the grounds that were out and about partying. Maybe I'm old, but didn't do it for me after a day or so.
That IAAPA stuff is cool, thanx for taking us along! I used to like the bumper car game with the soccer balls that was at Disney Quest - heck - I miss Disney Quest - I used to spend at least 1 day a trip there, mostly in the Relaod or Retro Zone (forget the name, but it was something like that) playing al the old-time games - SO much fun!!

I always love going over to the boardwalk. We did the surrey bikes long ago without 2 boys. They loved it. We rode around the entire place.
I had breakfast at this place too this in April when I couldn’t get into the parks and made it an Epcot/skyliner day

I'm scared like Jenn when it comes to the Skyliner, I would be terrified if it stopped for longer than 2 minutes. I hope to ride it for the first in future to. The Expo looked interesting to. Jackson is so precious! Love seeing all the Disney experiences through his eyes. Glad you had a great experience at Trattoria. I can't say the same. The lasagna was not that good. The caprese was good though. Two of us had the lasagna and had the same opinion. Others had chicken parm which they said was OK. That's why there are so many choices. Love the videos. Thank you.
I’m from Indiana and we LOVE Cake Bake. I’ve had a birthday there, the food and desserts are always fantastic. We often call it the Disneyland of the Midwest because of the elaborate decor and theming. I will warn you that it is quite expensive. Definitely something to look forward to! Can’t wait to see you guys try it 😁

I love the Boardwalk area. I almost always stay somewhere there, lately Swan/Dolphin. I stayed at BW late August and had a garden view room. I was so great because I could sit on my balcony at night and watch the Epcot FWs.
Boardwalk looks like a fun stay.

We just stayed at Boardwalk the beginning of the month, and our room was above Big River Grille. Pretty good view of the fireworks, and an excellent view of the USAF Thunderbirds when they flew over Magic Kingdom.
Jackson was so excited to ride the skyliner. Hopefully you can come during the day to ride the skyliner and do the entire skyliner loop! So Jackson can actually see everything!

We ate there Sep last year and it was delicious! I had the chicken parm.
We ate there twice for breakfast during our last trip in October! We loved it the first time, but our server was really rough the second time.

I was riding the skyliner at night, all alone in my cabin, and there were no announcements...it was super dark and so quiet. Kind of eerie!
The Flying Fish is amazing. If you have not tried that place, it is a must. Even if you don't like fish, you will after trying it.
We made are own garlic bread at the place I work and it was really nice but we used bread crust and love watching your videos ❤❤

last fall we got stuck over the hollywood studios parking lot/lake nearby for 45 minutes at night and it was TERRIFYING. we got 50 dollar gift cards and a tiny water bottle. yay?
Skyliner is a one and done for me. It stopped for a few minutes did NOT like that, felt like a hanging death trap lol
Also they have great bounce houses on Amazon for littler kids and they’re great! My best friend and I each have boys who are Jackson’s age and she has a bounce house that has a little slide… it was like $400! It’s GREAT.
At the end of last June, we stayed at one of the boardwalk club level rooms right above the restaurant. Amazing room, across from the club lounge. Highly recommended
