I work there and don't even shop there lol. According to my manager we as employees are not allowed to buy anything at our home store. Not even when we clock out or go on break. She doesn't trust any of us employees to shop in the store we work at believing we'll steal things, so she makes us shop elsewhere or we risk getting written up to the district manager for theft. When I did decide to shop at another Aldi not too far away the prices were pretty terrible compared to places like Winne-Dixie and the quality on most items were atrocious (pounds of sugar in everything. You have a serious problem if a chocolate cake doesn't even taste like a lick of chocolate. packages are smaller for items and the textures and tastes are significantly worse in my opinion). There are a few decent items like the tempura shrimp and chocolate bars, but I wish I could find those things in that quality elsewhere. I also do not trust the beef or any of the meat after hearing about Aldi's horse meat scandal back in 2013 from a customer (they sold 100% horse meat as beef). There are so many reasons why this company as a whole sucks and my store manager will not let me transfer somewhere else, so I've been job searching again.
Also one thing I should add: keep a close eye on what the workers and managers are doing with the signs at your stores. A customer informed one of my coworkers that the store manager was giving herself discounts by putting out a sale sign over a product and taking products off the shelves to buy in bulk with the sale price. She was spotted by some customers and told the customers she would give them the sale price for only one item of that product. One customer informed her that what she was doing was illegal but the manager insisted that was not true. After the customers got what they want she took the sale sign out replacing it with the normal sign and the rest of the items off of the shelf, putting them in the back (I presume to take home or buy later). She was reported to corporate but so far nothing has come of it (this happened two weeks ago).

Good Morning to you and Jess! I stocked up on the pumpkin squash sauce last year when it was about $1.89 a jar but couldn’t afford it this year. Went into our local Weis grocery store yesterday for the first time in over a month and walked out shocked after seeing empty shelves and the SKY HIGH prices of everything, but I found skinless boneless chicken breasts for $1.99 a pound!

It seems to me like it is a good time to really evaluate what is important to us. What do I not want to give up? I don't want to give up sweets, but I can bake cookies etc. My husband doesn't want to give up fritos, chips etc. I have cut way back on meat, because I can fill up on those and still get the taste of meat. It is healthier this way anyhow.🙂 We only buy meat on sale at a good price, vacuum seal it, and freeze it. If I want pop, I try to drink a fourth of a can. We buy some only on sale.

I’ve been disappointed with Aldi for the past few months. I don’t do all my shopping there but there are certain things I like to go there for. They are always out or the product looks bad. I specifically like their half and half and they are out all the time. Love their baked chips and they have been consistently out. I’ve tried a few Aldi’s around me and it’s the same situation. It may not be their fault but it’s frustrating!!! Their produce had looked terrible lately. Romaine lettuce wilted and red. Everything looks like it’s been sitting for weeks. 😢

Produce selection is 80% of normal since there is no meat anywhere, everyone is eat veggies. Hmmm sounds like an agenda. There was no lunch meat. No yogurt. No milk. Organic milk is now $8/gallon. Our 10# bag of potatoes at Aldi is $6.99. There are nuts and flour. Little sugar. Scant coffee, all increased in price. Pool chlorine used to be $2/lb in 2020 and now it is $8/lb. Trying to price us out of luxuries like swimming 🙄. I think some gas tax must have been waived in Florida because it dropped to $3.06 this week. Good morning. I don't get to our Aldi very often. It's on the other side of town. But when I take my Persian cat to get her groomed every two or three months I will run by there. I stocked up on a few things like canned foods the other day. I noticed that the prices were really close to Kroger and Sam's. It's still cheaper to buy the toilet paper and paper towels at Sam's. I stood there and did the calculations before buying at Aldi and chose not to. I'll just buy the big packs at Sam's

Aldi prices are a little strange sometimes. I will look at an item from one week to the next and it will go up a few cents. Then a few weeks later it goes down 10 or 12 cents. One item I like to buy in the fall is a sliced loaf cake (lemon, pumpkin, marble or cinnamon) to go with my morning coffee. Price at Aldi is 3.88. Price at Food Lion, Wegman's, Giant is anywhere from 7.99 to 9.99 for the same 8 slices of loaf cake. Aldi's has a better taste and I can get two for the price of one at the other chain stores in my area. Continuing to stock up on items I like when I see a good price. Wish I didn't live in an apartment so I could get a bigger freezer, but you do what you can. Thanks for another great trip Danno!

Wow those prices are zooming upwards. I have to drive half an hour to get to an Aldi. With your videos , it is showing me it’s not worth the drive. I will just keep going to Food Lion or Walmart.

Got gas up here for 3.03 per gallon 3 days ago. It was a newish BJ's and the gas island was finally finished and open. Another station up the street was 3.03 too. Your gas sure is a lot higher.

The Happy Farms Cream Cheese at the 2 Aldis near my home in Montgomery County PA used to be 82 cents, and as you see in this video it is now $1.59, so its nearly doubled. The 82 cent price I am talking about was only 5 weeks ago, so that is how quickly it can happen.

Must say, your Aldi's, Walmart, Dollar Tree is quite different in stocking than ours in NW Wisconsin. We also have a Hy-Vee that has daily specials & if people would really buy sales, they can stock pantries effectively. Examples: .88 cents midwestt boneless top loin pork chop; .48 avacados; buy one get one free like case bottled water, baby carrots, buy 3 6pk bottles of coke, 2 six packs free...and canned veggies starting at 58cents , 77cent, etc. 77cent for mac side dishes ... one thing u should let people know Aldi, etc are not the ones who set all prices completely since the food suppliers set prices from their suppliers...local stores set their prices w their local profit mark-up...if shelves arent restocked means they've ordered but supplier didnt send becuz they dont have it yet...
