  • This is the first of 4 games with the State Checkers Champion of Alabama. I did not know at the time that I was playing against a State Champion, but I started to suspect he was a very good player, because he mentioned the various openings and defenses he was using. For example the Black Doctor response to Old Faithful and the Cross opening. I found out that he was the State Champion of Alabama, because he was kind enough to download my ebook and write a review and include his name, which is P A Parker State Champion of Alabama.
He eventually won the game, although it could have been a draw, but I was being very aggressive and wanted to win. As they say, take the draw when you can!
Watch the video to see how he eventually won.

13:08 dang that 11-16 was detrimental. I think 11-7 would have given a draw still a very good match

At 5:00, you have lost the game he made the right move but couldn't capitalise. Allowing you 2 on 2 afterwards was his mistake.

    2:03 I played a weak move that's tricky. 8-11 for the win.

    9:00 22-18 gives a draw 15-18 wins

I don't agree 15-18 wins. it would still have been a draw. I can move my checker 12-16, 16-19 and squeeze your checker on 32 if you move it 32-27 and you would lose. Your king is pinned if you move it to 15-18. You would get a draw if you move the checker on 32 to 32-28.
