SouthLight Partner Profile: Urban Ministries of Wake County

“People are hungry every day,” says Nick Robertson, Urban Ministries Hunger and Nutrition Director. While so many of us will enjoy a hearty Thanksgiving meal, many of those we serve rely on a weekly food box delivery, thanks to our partnership with Urban Ministries.
Thanks to this partnership, we’re able to deliver food boxes right to the front doors of our most needy clients. This week we are highlighting Urban Ministries in our Partner Profile.
Every Thursday, members of our community-based programs pick up 75 boxes of food from Urban Ministries Project Pivot Program. “It’s about more than just feeding people,” says Nick.
“When you walk in someone’s home with food, and they don’t have anything, they say “at least I know I got food for the week,” says Veronica.
We are so grateful to Nick and his team at Urban Ministries, for providing food and supporting our clients in so many ways.
