What about the power steering fluid
Why didn't you do power steering fluid check?
The “slant” on the top of oil jugs is there for a reason. It aids in filling by slowing down the initial gush of fluid from the bottle when full and in an awkward angle. Turn that slant to the down side
I understand there is no power steering dipstick and it’s electric, but how does one lubricate the rack and pinion? Changed my tierods and saw that the steering rack was barely lubricated unless thats how it’s designed. Do i just get power steering fluid and rub some on there or is there special fluid for it?

Suggestions Needed! My transmission dip stick is not located there. Can’t find it anywhere. Just bought 2017 Silverado ltz with a 5.2 in it checking fluids for the first time and can not find tran dip stick anywhere.
I got the same vehicle I’m guessing you have the 8 speed transmission also like me where they don’t have a Dip Stick for a trans only for the 6speed they have a transmission dipstick
I believe there is a plug in the bottom of transmission pan that has a internal height tube. There is a fill plug on drivers side.
Fluid is added until it comes out of lower hole.
Fluid is checked at 160°
How about power steering
Do you recommend use only ac delco brake fluid ??

its a belt driven electric power steering system, so no fluids
@@usawrestling8835 thank you. Im mechanically declined and didn't know of the electrical power steering. I actually thought it used the same fluid as the braking system

To all you commenting about power steering fluid: IT DOESN'T HAVE ANY. It uses a belt drive to power an electronic module that operates the power steering.
THERE IS NO FLUID!!

Actually my bad. It doesn’t have (2015 Yukon) a reservoir for power steering. It’s a mechanical type system.
