Not to dose Saban's achievement. But Bear Byrant coached in an era when there were so many conference powerhouses, and thus a far greater number of competitive teams. Now it's just the SEC and then Ohio State and Clemson overpowering their conference opponents.
This just isn't true. Bryant coached in an era where it was easier to horde talent with larger rosters. Bryant is a great. But Saban in this Era is better than Bryant was in his. The Win percentage of the 2 coaches show that as well. Bryant had a 80.8% win percentage coaching at Alabama in an SEC where they had no real competitors consistently. Saban at Alabama and LSU in a SEC that has won 11 of the last 15 National Titles has an 84.5% win percentage. I love the Bear but Saban has clearly done more than him.

alabama gets their pick of all college prospects. Everyone wants to win, and thus all the best players want to play on the best team. So, you will never see parity, you will never see bad teams become great. Of course they win again.
That’s not true at all. There ARE PLENTY of people as athletic as the players on Alabama’s team in CFB. The only difference is that Alabama has better coaching. They don’t slack off. Alabama works harder and smarter than other teams and that’s the difference.

Najee is a solid back and should be a future star, reminds me of a better pass catching version of Mark Ingram

As an Ohio state fan aside from one over throw in the end zone by fields he had almost no time in the pockets, sermon getting injured first play rlly hurt us and are our receivers we’re almost always heavily covered. And COVID protocols destroying our line also didn help that game was rough for fields

Trey Sermon, Ohio State Running Back was injured on the very first play by Alabama defense. 4 Alabama players jumped on him and injured his neck or shoulder. That injury did change the path of the game to Alabama's advantage since he was an important component of Buckeyes' Offense. Also, Buckeyes DEFENSE, specially Pass defense, played a very poor game, schematically, players, and coaching. Teams, more often than not, win national championships with having a great Defense first

To hold that edge for an extra 10 days was not probably. Bama's edge lasted just a wee bit longer since that bad lose against Clemson and OSU in 2015 Sugar Bowl. I'm sure Bama had the reminders for both games hanging in the locker room just to cover the all bases. If they had face Clemson in this game. OSU last 3 Championship games - Alabama(Blown out) LSU(Blown out) Florida(Blown out) 2-11 against the SEC in bowl games. Ohio State is just another Notre Dame all hype and get exposed in the most important games.
Incorrect - Ohio State defeated Oregon 42-20 in the National Championship in 2015 (2014 regular season) after defeating Alabama in the semifinal of the inaugural CFP, meaning they are 2-3 in their last five national championships. They are certainly above Notre Dame in terms of product on the field. Since 2014 they have postseason/bowl wins against Alabama, Oregon, USC, Notre Dame, Washington, and Clemson.

Still going to agree to disagree with your statement considering Ohio State is probably the third most successful team since 2000 behind Alabama and maybe Clemson, but Clemson really only came on the last few years. And I will reiterate that Ohio State is well above .500 in bowl/postseason games since 2000...so unless you are comparing them to the dynasty of Alabama they really are the next best thing college football has to offer recently.

Congrats for winning in a pandemic year, but with all the opt outs and lack of preparation across the board, their season couldn’t have been more special than LSU who beat 7 AP Top 10 teams last year. I mean a 7 win Ohio State team that struggled mightily in a few games was the second best team in the country. Definitely a little bit of recency bias factoring in.
