I noticed some differences between the real locomotives and the fake locomotives. 1. The fake locomotives have a 81 inch low hood. In 1977, it was changed to a 88 inch low hood. The real 7375 was built in 1986 so it had a 88 inch low hood. 2. The radiators are chicken wire. Also in 1977, it was changed to corrugated radiators. 3. The middle axle on each truck is slightly higher.
Wait, this was 10 months ago, upon further inspection, there was a GE u18b leading, a slug unit, then a tall nosed gp30, the one that actually derailed
*No SD40-2's were hurt in the making of this film..."
they actually removed the body of the SD40-2 and they put it on a real chassis OF A SD40-2 and it was put to work
@@jaysonmendoza6887 It was a joke, sir.
So your telling me a sd40-2 got hurt!?!?!
@@kodesrailfan3176 Tell that to BNSF or the CNW lol

I find it quite fascinating that one of the most tragic scenes in the movie was an epically planned-out one-shot Johnson...wow!

My ffgjjjhtzz,ถุัี่ยวว
There was of course the fugitive derailment, where the gp40 crashed through the bus,and the gp9 flew off the switch, and chased Harrison Ford
I'm pretty sure it was a GP30

Сейчас пересматриваю . Классный фильм сделали.
Train is so strong and durable & able to destroy things on its own way
1:57-2:05 I’m starting to think this is how I think the Lash-up derailment scene should have been.. 🤔
1:10 The fugitive: Am I a joke to you
i wish cp kept the awvr paint schemes
Yes
I think it would’ve been nice to have them as “heritage units”
I like how it derailed at the same place it left.
This part is cool 7375 vs 777 at the beginning the guy left the cab he fell on his face
8:15 Cool shot.

AWVR SD40-2 7375 and 7346 have been sold to Norfolk Southern.
" no film has filmed a train derailment " . Yeah cause it's on CZcams once a week.
The Fugitive was the first film to produce the real derailment

why is the ditchlights not on the railing
I don’t know
From what I am seeing, the engine here was not the real deal. It was merely a life-sized mockup. As a result, it doesn't have everything needed.
