A week long closure of the line between Warrington Bank Quay and Chester resulted in there being several rail replacement buses running each day across the affected route, there was all sorts in use on the services, a good chunk being coaches however there was some buses also being used. Included in the rail replacements was the service that runs from Chester to Liverpool via the Halton Curve which had buses running from Chester right through to Liverpool South Parkway and back and having got to Helsby on a rail replacement from Ellesmere Port I awaited the Liverpool bound rep and was greeted with this Optare Solo M880, here is British Blue Tours K99BBT which previously operated with Stagecoach Bluebird as their 47605/SV08FZR and it's recorded between Runcorn and Liverpool South Parkway.
