In case it helps anyone
If your DS3 isn't showing up in the software (mine wasn't) restart the pc and manually install the individual setup files again. Run the software again. My DS3 was now visible over USB.
If your Bluetooth dongle won't work (I cannot comment for integrated BT), uninstall the DsHidMini BT software, restart. Go to Devices and Printers (Windows 11 may make this annoying to find) and remove the BT dongle as Administrator (right click menu). Now unplug dongle and plug it back in. Reinstall DsHidmini BT software. Restart. I used SCPtoolkit until now which I think caused my problem w BT.
Follow the video as shown it worked for me!

Cable method works fine. If for the bluethooth method after disconecting the controller didn't work, open bluethooth settings and search for a device. DON'T click on any device options, just press the psn button on your controller and it will connect :)

Go to Device Manager, uninstall all Bluetooth drivers, then reinstall them. This should restore normal functionality.

Hey man, thank you for the great content. I've gotten it up to about 3:40 part, but my DS3 is blinking (on all 4 slots) and not being recognized by DSHMC ("No compatible devices found"). Could this be my DS3 issue? I've been charging it for about an hour now, but it's still just blinking whereas just having one light on 1. Thank you in advance!
My controller just goes blank (lights out), it used to blink but now it doesn't. I think it connected through bluetooth one time but not for long, it just disconnected in 30 secs. Please help.
so there isnt a way to connect and make sixaxis 3 playable at windows 10/11 without downloading and always running in the background a 3rd party program. Sadge.

Works well with cable, but bluetooth is causing brolems. Bluetooth stopped working alltogether (its a dongle) after i installed the software for bluetooth connectivity

Try replacing the cable and try a different controller if you have one.

Unfortunately, it's not letting me use the Bluetooth. I installed the driver and my pc has Bluetooth built-in but it's not working for me.
Yo thank you so much for this tutorial honestly. My dualshock 3 controller works wired, and used to work perflectly wirelessly as well, but whenever I disconnect the controller, it seems not to work wirelessly anymore.. as for any changes from before-- I updated my windows 11. Is there a way I can easily delete and reinstall the drivers? Or is there some other possible solution? Again, thank you so much.

Hey, my controller works when I go on properties on my controller in ‘Set up USB game controllers’, but I don’t see the Controller (XBOX 360 for windows) option - will this impact anything?
Does this autostart with windows like SCP Toolkit did for win10, or do you have to manually launch the app every time you use the DS3? I use all 3 generations of controller (DS3, 4 & 5 depending on which game Im playing) so Im guessing that like with win10 Im gonna need the equivalents of SCP Toolkit for the DS3 and DS4Windows for the DS4 & 5. Is that right? lol you forget how much you mod your pc till you get/build another one.

I got mine to work wirelessly using this method, but all 4 LEDs on the controller keep blinking while it's connected wirelessly. Am I missing something? The controller works fine though.

Hi, do I need to uninstall previous scptoolkit that worked only with BT 2.0? Does it work with BT 5.0? Do I need to remove BT 2.0 dongle completely, because it interferes with another BT 5.0 dongle?

Have you tested it in a ps2 or ps3 game or emulator? If so, vibration function, gyroscope?
Yes, it works with all the emulators and supports vibration, but I'm not sure about the gyroscope.

For me it works wired, doesn't show as "Controller (XBOX 360 for Windows)", only as "DS3 Compatible HID Device".
Bluetooth won't work though, first time error 10, now error 31.
It managed to work once, but it kept crashing windows so I had to uninstall it (driver unloaded without cancelling pending operations "btath_flt.sys").
Does this program mess up your bluetooth driver so that you can't use your bluetooth adapter for anything else but the controller? The SCP toolkit does that.
No, it doesn't as far as I know. I haven't received any complaints so far, but if there are any issues, please let me know.

I chose XInput and for some reason the game(WWE 2k24) thought that i had 2 controllers connected, 1 PS3 controller and 1 XBOX controller but they were both controlled by one controller leading to confusion. Then i tried to change the XInput to SXS and at first it seemed that everything was alright however it messed up the buttons(X is now O and O is X, RT and LT are RB and LB). Do you have any idea what could i change in order for it to work properly?

fixed it by choosing ds4 instead of xinput and using the ds4 app

Not sure, probably not. A 3rd Party controller is most likely to work on its own. They are mostly compatible with Windows and would not need any programs, please let me know if you connect it successfully.

My ps3 pad only connect with the cable once i unplugged the cable it doesn't work wirelessly
I found disabling all bluetooth drivers, reinstalling DsHidMini bluetooth driver, and then re-enabling the drivers fixed it for me. Go into Device Manager on Windows for this.
