#dreaddelusion #pcgaming #morrowind - Hry
I think the "like Morrowind" part is the alien design, Morrowind was deliberately designed to feel like an alien planet in spite of being in a fantasy setting.
The Elder Scrolls Lore has always been weird Science Fantasy. Just since Oblivion they went mainstream and just continued with in in the DLCs but subtile. Knights of the Nine is a Cyborg for instance, the Emperor Uriel Septim was an Orc who turned Human/Nord. One of the magic towers in Elswyr is actually a spaceship...
Don’t forget the Empire has astronauts!
It's Acrobatics, not Athletics, for jumping in Morrowind/Oblivion. Athletics doesn't "feed into" Acrobatics in either Morrowind or Oblivion.
I'm glad you knew what he meant
This game scratches that morrowind itch ive had since 2002. Fantastic.
This might be my next steam deck game.
Its on sale, enjoy
I bought it but it barely runs over 30 fps most the time on the deck, kinda sad considering the game should run at 90fps
@@alecfullmer2026 Yeah I noticed that, clearly needs some updates/optimizations. Weirdly if you don't use the retro graphics and lock the frames to 40fps it works ok. I am a little disappointed on the performance for what kind of game it is though.
@@alecfullmer2026it shouldn’t be listed as “verified” should be marked “playable”
I think the only thing this game doesn't have is a third-person camera like TES has in Morrowind. 🤔
First person is best 😁👍
I'd call it a love letter to both Morrowind and Kingsfield
and Ultima 9
Literally has nothing to do with Kingsfield...Dread Delusion is a Scrolls-Like, taking clear inspiration from Morrowind and Oblivion. Idk why so many people shout "KiNgsFieLd!!!!1" every time they see retro graphics and a floating sword.
8:46 Nah - it's the same in Skyrim. You do the thing that you want to level up.
This looks right up my alley
it’s giving video game
It’s very subtle but I noticed it too
Lmao
I see graphics.
This might just be a video game.
@@Kyree6703 one of the video games of all time
Isn't this a pleasant surprise.
Morrowind is my favorite Elder Scrolls game by far . So Im so excited to play it 🤩
Haven't finished the vid yet but the character seems very short!
Killzone 2 vibes
I would say it's an extremely streamlined Morrowind with an extremely scaled down map, huge QoL advantages over TESIII, an easier to explore world, and way lower barrier to entry.
Is there a 3rd person view mode on this game?
This looks amazing I will probably get it but please, do yourself a favor, and play Morrowind too
Me recuerda a la saga Heretic-hexen
Has it got the faction dynamics, depth and lore that Morrowind had? because just alien looks and mushroom trees ain't it.
Yes and yes, thou everything in the game is simplified, or rather straim lined, there is nothing like complex subsystems like crazy spells, day night cycle for npcs or stats types and variety
I don’t know about factions but this game has quality worldbuilding
It looks like a Morrowind mod for Minecraft.... lol
This looks more like King's Field to me.
No one really played Morrowind? Christ.
It feels more like Wizardry than TES.
This is also inspired by games like Kings Field.
This may be more closer to dark souls and kings field than morrowind
@@FirstLast-pt7bm it's nothing like any of those games
@@mangemover I'm hoping so. Really want a new experience right now.
Kingsfield "fans" (hipsters who just watch video essays on From Soft) work overtime to let everyone know Kingsfield somehow inspired every single indie retro-style RPG (it didnt)
PS1 and N64 kids are like 40 years old.
it's called acrobatics. noobs.
Kinsfield
Bunch of N’wahs who never played morrowind
Weird enemies cuz the game takes place in hell.
it's not Morrowind more like King's Field
how is it like king's field?
@@mangemoverits not like Kingsfield at all actually.
Never played Morrowind? Y'all have no business making a video on this game, and also your gamer cards have been revoked for being noobs.
Please just go back to making content about Fortnite and CoD
Lol you aren't a hardcore gamer for playing Morrowind. The Elder Scrolls is the McDonalds of CRPGs.
@@VrilWaffen Didnt they also say PS1 and N64 kids have grown up and started making retro styled games? They just come off as media guys that happen to work in the video game segment, rather than gamers whatsoever. Wouldn't it be weird for someone to have never even tried McDonalds?
Call me casual, but I'm not a huge fan of games with very little direction and no map. I dont like wandering around for 15 minutes trying to figure out where to go. Obscure quest design is more frustrating to me than fun. I like the aesthetic but I think ill pass on this one
I think it's a time commitment thing. I hated games like this when my kids were young because I got like maybe 2 hours of gaming time a week if I was lucky. Now that I have more time I get it
@@khristienpennanen1810 I'm actually in that boat right now. Two girls. One turns 5 in a couple weeks the other is a year and a half. Basically no time to actually play anything these days
You make the map, you can visually see the landmarks in the distance
I have 26 hours of gameplay, I’ve only accrued so much already because I’m purposely scouring everything, and I’m very clearly over the halfway point of the game. You can do a quest line in an hour and acquire a couple levels in like 3 hours of playing. It doesn’t take as long you believe.
@@AnyHeroBlakeI wish you could hover over specific points on the map to get the name of it. Aside from that building the map as you explore feels natural and you are not pulled away from your current gameplay loop to set up a "Ubisoft tower".
@@scumbad7953 You can view the names of things by hovering your mouse over their cartography symbol on the map
This game isn't Morrowind, it's nothing like Morrowind, this game is more like Kings Field.
Game is being advertised wrong, which makes me ask the question how many people actually played and understand Morrowind or King's field.
its like a morrowind/kingsfield lite, played this game about 30 hours in early access and sunk 100 hours each into morrowind and the kingsfield games
Its a Scrolls-Like open word RPG with the wacky worldbuilding, NPCs and aesthetics of Morrowind merged with the streamlined, real-time combat of Oblivion. People who enjoyed early 00s Bethesda RPGs will feel right at home with this, so it is advertised correctly. This not a From Soft dungeon crawler in any capacity, and those who play Ultima Underworld-Likes such as Kings Field or Arx Fatalis, enjoy a tight and interconnected Metroidvania-style dungeon map with hostilities, traps, puzzles and bosses around every turn. So just because you have retro graphics and you swing a weapon at enemies, it's inspired by Kings Field? You simply dont know what you're talking about.
@@VrilWaffen I’ll admit that I’m a bit disappointed to hear that theft is not an option in this game. I’m a sucker for [the illusion of] total freedom. Maybe that’s why I love the Elder Scrolls games.
Looks worse then Deus Ex to me. They really should have intended a more polished texture style like Dark Messiah of Might and Magic for instance
Instantly clicked this morrowind best game every played expansions included .. didn’t know first play through must play multiple times
The world in this game does not look like morrowind looks worse colors look bad and doesn’t look to goo..
