I was crying tears of pure joy when she announced she is coming to Broadway. I have wanted to see her perform live for SO LONG, and now I will?!?!?! It's insane, I am so excited!
Considering this was after only 2 days of rehearsal, this is so impressive. But then it is Rachel tucker so I mean what can you expect? Anyone complaining about her accent obviously doesn't know the character very well, I'd be surprised if you'd even seen show. Production teams aren't stupid, if the director doesn't think the accent is right, they will change it. Stop complaining before you know everything you need to know, it just makes you look ignorant.
I saw this last year and I'm not ashamed to say I had tears in my eyes from the middle of 'Welcome To The Rock' - but this is the most moving song of the show and Rachel Tucker played the role to perfection. You could really believe that she was Beverley Bass.
If I live near the theatre where Rachel Tucker performs, I will definitely see her show without any doubt or even without asking what is the title of the show. She is really amazing in every way. Gorgeous voice ... gorgeous.
It doesn't matter how many times I watch this song being performed or by which people, I always cry at "and the one thing I love more than anything was used as the bomb." It's just so haunting.
Don't understand all the hype around Rachel Tucker. I get that she was popular in Wicked and all, but here, she often doesn't hit the (not even that high) high notes eg 0:50 "That I'd be a PILOT" 1:01 "came down from the SKY" 1:04 "fly for the rest of my LIFE". She's no Jenn Colella by a long stretch. Also her Newfoundlander accent is plain weird.
Completely agree, I have tickets and was so hyped to see the cast. When I heard it was Rachel tucker, I was like "ooh people like her she must be good". I stand corrected
Aidan Lam ... If you watch the other videos, they explain they’ve only had two days rehearsals and aren’t due to start proper rehearsals for 2 months. Maybe wait to judge until you’ve seen it live?
Yeah, I agree that I'm not gonna judge until I've seen it...but she has has lots of experience with belty notes before so I expected something a bit better :)
Aidan Lam not sure if you can judge from one song after only two days rehearsing, maybe wait and see? she was incredible in wicked and can definitely hit the notes :)

I guess it's pretty off topic but does anybody know of a good website to watch newly released series online?
@Amos Jaxx I would suggest flixzone. Just search on google for it :)
Rachel Tucker really is one of the best, you'd have to see her live to understand that she is extraordinary. Love her to pieces ❤️

God love her. Absolute spot on casting 😍😍
I really hope that the West End cast also makes a cast album.

The little wave to the World Was 2 crew cracks me up. Bye boys
come from away is superrrr underappreciated
I saw the show a couple of weeks ago and Rachel absolutely owns this role. She was outstanding, as was the show.

Saw this last night and this song was probably my favourite
Just been to see this.... Seeing Rach sing this was incredible! worth the wait! Effortless, flawless, incredible!
My Fav West end actor(and that's saying something) The best Beverly Bass Worldwide
She is brilliant! As is the entire cast. Sought this past spring in New Orleans, and I fell in love. Thank you for sharing
I saw Rachel play this role from the 3rd row and she made eye contact. I’m blessed.
I cannot WAIT to see this/her in May. It’s such a beautiful score
This comment aged badly :(
@@dontexpectit4956 how!?
@@cayhoot9778 ignore me I'm a dumbass this is may 2019 not 2020 you're talking about
3:20, the girl in the back really going for it is tremendous.
Gives me chills.
I need a cast recording for the west end cast!!
The guy crying In the back is a mood
Amazing
Rachel Queen
Aidan, buddy, she isn’t supposed to be singing in a Newfoundland accent. She plays a TEXAN in this role, so back up the truck a bit and get off.
3:16 it sounds like "Oh ah ah ah ah"
Guys, where do you find info these launches are held. I live in London so I would like to go on something like this so much. 😢
Dalibor Buranda hey friend, they are invite only :)
SAME! :'(
