You should listen to Bliss.... whistles all over the song! I wanna see you react to her performance of Emotions at the AMAs, where she hit the highest note produced by a human voice that's ever been recorded. It was a G-sharp, three and a half octaves above middle C. Mariah is the only vocalist who can manipulate the texture, patterns and mood of her whistle notes. She's also able to mimic pretty much every sound in this world, when it comes to instruments/music!

@@sp_948 nope, she's been wearing in ear monitors on and off ever since her snl 1990 performance. It's just that in the 90s the stage speakers were situated where the singer can hear the track in real time so there's no delay. But it's much more practical and cheaper to just wear in ears since stages now are much more minimalistic, and speakers are pointed to the audience. It's definitely based on the environment where she's singing in. In the 90s she has been wearing it on and off but 00s and so forth, she has worn it for practicality.

I think the only other example I can think of someone using belting as just casual normal singing is Beyonce when performing get me bodied. That song is entirely, from beginning to end, in the higher part of her range, she does it completely in full voice and while dancing, to this day I can't wrap my mind around how she's able to do this
