The Toyota Corolla: a humble Japanese compact that has taken the world by storm, and here, now, is my favorite generation of this popular seller. However, it's no surprise that the Corolla is perhaps one of the most known names in all of the small affordable car world. But in this modern day and age, most buyers have said that the newer Corollas are soft and somewhat boring to drive. But as for me, I've been a massive fan of this cheeky car for quite a bit of time. I have a 2005 Toyota Corrola (Without the S). It's a very nice car, and still runs good. I recently got it from my grandparents as a grad gift

Those are cars to keep forever. Cheap to buy and last forever. This car would be a great $2400-3000 option

@@prettymsdance i would MUCH rather have a dent than a cigarette burn. It seems like literally EVERY 9th gen Corolla like this has a cigarette burn SOMEWHERE! Seriously. The only one that I’ve seen that didn’t have one was my grandparents beige 2007 LE that was 13 years old with only 61,000 miles when they sold it. It was probably the best smelling Corolla interior on the planet. They took stupidly good care of it.
This is also my favorite gen of Corollas! I used to drive a 2006 S fully loaded in silver that I bought brand new in 2005. Drove it for 5 1/2 years with no problems. Then I bought a used 2007 Nissan Altima in 2011 which was a nice upgrade, but had some problems & now I'm back to Toyota this year with a brand new 2015 Camry! Toyota FTW!!!
I just bought a 2005 s with 220k that runs like new and now I am watching videos that are 9 years old learning about the car. How funny
I have this car same year and it's gray.I bought it brand new in 2005 and I only have 71,000 miles on it and it's 2019.It's a very good car and I love my car.

My dad has the Toyota Corolla CE it from 2005 we still use it today it’s almost 14 years old
My grandma bought her 2003 Toyota Corolla brand new and over 12 years she's only put a little over 100,000 miles on it. One thing I love about the car is that for a 1.8L 4 cylinder engine, it does have a lot of spunk to it. One downfall is that the two a-pillars are a blind spot for me. But overall good car.
I've had mine for a year now. Love it! Easy to maintain and great on gas! Pretty comfortable too.
This generation looked better then the 2008-2013 generation. Looks more sporty
My 05 corolla sport out lived my parents 08 Honda pilot, 07 sonata, and 05 grand Cherokee. I depend on my corolla so much and I love the Damn thing more than anything I've owned lol all it needs now is the stock spoiler.. hopefully my car can keep going well beyond 200,000 miles as long as I don't abuse it lol.

I have a 2005 Corolla at 124 k mi and going strong. It is a bumpy ride and I have replaced the struts and other parts but at the price point, you can't beat it.
This is my exact car :) 190k miles and going strong. Mine is this same color , its front bumper paint is also faded to sunset orange lol. I put a black bra/cover on and it covers it perfectly. These are great cars

I have one of of these, identical to the one in the video but with the 5 speed that I daily drive. It has to be one of the most boring cars in the us. Also, 2005 toyota red paint is awful. Mine, stored in a garage most of the time, has most of the paint coming off the hood and most of the clear coat coming off the bumpers, hood, roof, and trunk. If you are going to buy one of these, don't get red as it seems like it is the only color with this problem
If this car came out in 1999/2000 it would be a lot more famous

This model really needs a telescopic steering wheel though. The drawers on the console are really dash, over time break. My car barely gets 26 mpg

What does the overdrive button do?

i think it makes the engine rev higher to get all the power out of it
I have a 2004 S with 5 speed. Fun cars, dependable. My VVT control module went but good other than that. 160,000 miles. Lots of room actually. 30 to 35 mpg depending on conditions. Too bad this is an automatic as the stick is pretty fun! Very noisey at hi revs.

Why is the car idling so fast?
all cars idle fast when starting cold
when i clean my air intake sensor it will idle even faster for a while til the computer relearns or something so maybe the mechanics did a tuneup
Mine does that, too when cold. But it gets to lower than 1k when the operating temp is reached.
Why does it rev up to 2000RPM in the idle???

Mind start like that then drop immediately at 1400rpm, then 750 at normal temp

Whoever had that Toyota corolla S the reason why the paint is fading. You don’t put turtle wax on your pink try it your car will look orange and red.
You can read the owners manual. Good for you.
