I feel bad for Viktor in this case because he's been robbed a lot of huge grand slams and today was big time because everytime he got into the rhythm scoring points, the umpire kept overruling it. Easier for footballers who get paid every game win or lose, in tennis if you get knocked out of round 1 you don't get paid, you must advance to the next one.
He was completely out of line and has been robbed of nothing accept his own self respect.
That will go down in history as an example of unsportsmanlike conduct.

I think that umpire was doing bad job during this match even if we exclude this certain situation.
If you slow down to x0.25 speed and freeze the frame at 1:46 when the ball is changing direction on impact, it's clearly out by about 3cm. How the umpire figured it was in - no idea.
I have an idea - the umpire was watching it at 1 x speed, and the ball is obscuring his view of the line, it is so close it appears to him to have been good. Looks to me like its out though. The benefit of watching in slo mo!

The umpire has a much better point of view. Plus the umpire overruled the original call, so it wasn't that he didn't really see it - he must've clearly seen that it was in. That's what I can't figure out.

RitzDaCracker1 what is it, the day of the dumb? It's one thing for the umpire not to see it. It's a completely different thing for the umpire to overturn the original call. It means that the umpire clearly saw it in from his vantage point and thought the call was wrong.

Plus, this is an example why the hawk eye should be on all courts especially at Wimbledon. Players should be able to challenge the bac call. Too bad Troicki is not Djokovic, Federer or Nadal. It would have never happened with the big 3.
The funniest part of the overrule late in the match on the serve is the umpire never saying “overruled” or serve was in. He just goes 40-30. There are definitely players who might have not even noticed that and been baffled when the server started moving to the other side to serve the next point and been like what are you doing?

You just can't judge the umpire's decision even through this camera. The umpire has a better view from his chair if the ball was out or not. If you analyze carefully the sequence from 1:09 the ball seems to pass the line over from our point of view.
WRONG!!! The linesman has the best view. The umpire is too far away and the angle is off enough that any umpire has no business overruling that call. And he acted like he just didn't care. Simply inexcusable!!!

It absolutely infuriates me when professional sports leagues refuse to use modern technology to help solve these problems. You know these assholes have money, put a couple of Go pros on the line and you're fucking gravy. It reminds me of when instant replay first came around, and every fucking sports league seemed to put rules on when they can use it. Everyone was baffled, why couldn't they just use it whenever they needed it? It was like they were scared of it.

Wimbledon has Hawkeye and Cyclops for electronic adjudication, unfortunately they don't actually use them unless the players challenge a call or the line judges and umpire both can't make the call.
